Tonight we played another early survival game session together with @Starwing6 on our server. We quickly managed to pick up the scraps and collect all the necessary resources to make our survival base. This time we chose to build a rather traditional finnish cottage, the kind that after the wars they spawned a whole lot all around to provide a shelter for many survivors. This model is more close to what those cottages were in 50's, I think, with your typical "falu red" paint job to the wood. It was a fun little project and felt really homey to toy around. It seems it is very good to build next to a lake in the latest version of this game, especially when you take a little distance from all the medicinal plants, they keep on spawning right next to your housing, making it very easy to make basic medicines also. Next we need a patch of farmland and a good healthy cold and arrogant attitude
Has this been fixed in 8 yet? The Talos has been misnamed the Titan for so long I'm wondering if it should be fixed.
It's intentional... my game seed is 8675309... the CV is the Jenny... Can't use my usual 7DtD seed since EGS doesn't do text... that's "GetOffMyLawn"
Nope... This is another legendary topic... And now, some bad news... Didn't save the Titan as blueprint, and screwed up the savegame... Ramamber kids, don't mess with savegames on 6 beers... I like the result too much to abandon it, so I'll do it all over again... The thing is, Megahammer's BP is too old, and the entire ship is made of old 200 HP blocks, so the entire hull must be replaced with the current blocks...
@ion_storm sorry to hear that. I'd recomend to do even more than just one blueprint. For the Sephrajin Carrier i've had like 140 blueprints, for the ERA-C Heisan it was only around 60... and some - but not near as many - savegames. Good luck on the rebuild!
well, if those beasts 'turn to' me, I'm running screaming Seriously nice hardware. Your mining truck rocks! (ba-daumpt) Man I need to start building bigger stuff. That CV I posted a few pages back uses the 5x3 Hanger Door and I can fit my cube-ic end game HV, emergency SV & assault SV in there. Definately a ton of really inspiring designs in this thread. ---- yikes @ion_storm Hope there's at least some replace blocks cmds that can help you recover.
Did you not BP it at all? Cause then the bp file will be in the saved game directory and you can retrieve it

I was wondering might we be at the same solar system? Anyway. It would be a fun thing to do to perfect a good started cottage for early game to have your typical finnish start. That is so fabulous! @Friendly Timo also built a sauna on Ninques, back in 6.0. I didn't take any screenshots of the interior, but up top was a furnace and nice wooden benches where you could sit and warm up, then go out and dive down to the hot pool below. We never had a 7.0 Expedition to the snow planet though. It's the first Expedition we plan for 8.0 public branch adventure. Now we all have more building experience and I'm pretty sure the next one he designs will be even better!
Even if not BPd, the old save still has a copy of the ship. Place a CV starter block in a new savegame, use "di" to note its ID, then exit. Go into your old save directory, and find the "shared" folder Locate your ship, it will be one of the folders "CV_Player_xxxx". "xxxx" is the entity ID- inside is an area file Copy the area file from the old game's entity folder to the new games entity folder Restart the game and make a BP this time... If you're not sure which entity is the Titan, it might take a couple tries, but hopefully, it's the most recently edited
I know this, but I don't have the old save... I've been messing around and deleted the wrong folder... I realized what I've done about 20 seconds after I emtied the recicle bin... No worries, I'll rebuild it in no time...
