Last night I visited the trading station, I think I chose a good size for the Guppy. I can land it on the trading station with no issues. As I got out I promptly fell and went splat, evidently one of the POI's I encountered on the moon earlier blew the entry ramps off and I did not realize they were gone until I fell.
Oddly enough it does.... I expected problems with die-offs. However, it is So far holding 'room temperature' on all the plots and has so little power draw I haven't had it run out of power yet. *posts to workshop*
OMG! Since when do they spit a stream instead of a blob like the pink spiders? This afternoon, one wiped me out and annihilated a suit of heavy armor before i had much more than a chance to note I was being spit at...
Indeed, but only SP easily- you have to have regen turned off to do so in MP (and that really needs to be a setting instead of having to go back and monkey with the yaml).... We used Hakon, it was most intact... along with the warp core from Exodus and the Lg thrusters from Titan Yah, got the ref... most accurate, too...

... i don't know what to say about this... honestly i was just toying around thinking that enemy turrets seem to lock onto weapons first, maybe? and being lazy but with tons of CV parts lying around from the graveyard, i wound up with this... i've no idea which one of you evil evil geniuses have your mind control ray pointed at me but please stop!! ... this is a living nightmare ... what in THE hell is going on?? please all mighty Murphy, let there be beer in the fridge...
Found this the first day so I cored it and found it had an Advanced Constructor, among other amenities. With solar panels added it made a nice starting base. Many trees gave their lives for biofuel to build and fuel the little SV in the pic. Exploring with the SV found many POIs, two Prom deposits (Hell ya!) and this wrecked ship. It's sitting flat so I'll be salvaging everything else to build one of my rare elaborate bases. A lucky start to be sure. I can't say enough good things about this build so far.
So, my youngest didn't really want to give up completely on the progress we'd made before RC1, so I had to come up with something that wasn't a total wipe... so I had us spawn back in as lvl 1 toons in a brand new sector, and then I imported and hid our SV (with our gear) on the opposite side of the planet and our CV (with everything else)... umm, somewhere else (just in case he reads this). So after about 5 or 6 game days, we'd set up a wreckage base and started exploring.. found the SV Once we got into orbit, we scavenged the orbital graveyard and refurbished the Hakon with what we found, including the Lg thrusters from Titan.. originally was running it off 4 salvaged small gens, redlining it to get up to orbital speed (thank God for coasting). Now, we've hit a few more POI's including Ilmarinen, and we have a drill turret and T1 gens. Heading off to the moon to check it out before jumping to the next planet...
Alas, one of the weaknesses of use of Motion Sensor powered laziness... the Complacency it can cause. *Eyeballs Creation* Nope, not me... that's not my style at all, not even in the ballpark of it.
