Continued work on secret project. Results are quite entertaining. Screenshots are coming. Learned quite a few things too. Started to figure out switches too. Might have to do some experimenting but have some really good ideas.
So recently I had to delete and reinstall the game. I neglected to save my BP, and so had to fall back on BPs from last August. *sighs* I am currently on a campaign to back them up by publishing them,. mostly privately, because most are either experimental, ugly, or just plain crap. Thanks for making and sharing that! I know it's over the size class limit for a lot of servers but I couldn't get the detail I wanted by going smaller plus I had to be able to park my cylon raiders inside. I didn't build it with pvp in mind so the armor is a little weaker than it could be. All the detailing means more blocks for enemies to chew through but yeah it's only hardened steel and not combat. The symmetrical nature of it will help provide some redundancy for its critical systems at least. It could be upgraded to combat steel but you wouldn't be able to take it planetside without adding more thrusters. The shape of it means it doesn't really need to turn too quickly to bring it's weapons to bear. You noticed some of the gun emplacements are empty. That's due to the weapon restrictions. I had it loaded it up with 46+ pulse lasers at one point but I wanted to keep it legal to use for the majority of players. It certainly has the room for more weapons though. Ideally I'd load it up with pulse lasers and rockets.
As a bonus, when not being used in combat, it can also double as a sound bar and give surround sound by appropriately phasing the firing times of the various weapons .
Yeah I dunno what happened there. I usually get a nine or ten down votes almost immediately on new submissions but I seemed to slip by this time. I have a theory which I'm going to test the next time I post something.

It seemed to be intentional. It sure looked nice anyway. I started another game and that time I used a micro SV to dodge the guns and just ran right under it. The core is accessible from there so...
So Nexus Station has some maintenance tunnels that you can use to get around the city but I wanted something else that was a little nicer. I'm experimenting with adding a subway. Why? Because I thought it'd be cool. The only place I can really put it is along the underside of the station. I might see about making it big enough to use a hover sled. I'm not sure I could get it to work though. Spoiler
Have you tried putting the hover motors on the centerline in a single row? That seems to reduce the amount of bounciness in a closed space without making the vehicle "tippy."
Actually the problem I'm having is every little bump damages the HV sled and the walls of the tunnel. Spawning it into the tunnel is a little tricky too.
HAHA awesome, glad to see I am not the only one getting on this boat hype xD I just made some smaller speedboats yesterday, and this is the double length version, of course very limited to shape and design parameters with a small build like this but damn it was fun to build this one, with the upper hovers she can even get 1m clearance above water to skip over obstacles or shallows. Not yet. I've already tweaked it a bunch since I started playtesting... and stock BP or no, I'd want to ask Runningwithhamster's blessing first- which I won't do until I'm satisfied with the "gold" version. In the meantime, though- as handy as Sally's been for a early CV, she can't carry much more than a few smaller SV's or HV's. Now that we're cleaning the Zirax off Pehjora, we'll need something... heavier... to lift the tanks to the next AO...
