Steam is not showing pics on any of my upload attempts today so will have to wait and see whats up with that... In the meantime some spoiler covered pics Searcher 600, i had labelled it 570 earlier and still shows 570 in pics but turns out shes 600 now 60 foot length. Greetings Base is ready.. There was not much change in the interior but I modified the base so it could be used on an oxygen-free planet ( plants do not die) The main gate is set up with a response for 3 seconds for steam frends : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1441850490
Was not happy with the rear end and wound up using shutterwindow stairs, and a ramp hatch at rear with a cargo bay for extra boxes if you need, on the top deck where the seating arrangement is, there is a hatch to drop into the engine/service bay. Authentic as a engine bay you can sometimes see a little water washing around the rear of the bay xD
I've been trying to come up with a new texture scheme for Nexus Station's city level. The problem with the texture I'd prefer to use for the floors is that it does not tile well so it's almost impossible to get the pattern to line up. Some of the patterns for the stone textures might work but most of those aren't available for steel blocks. It wouldn't be a problem if we could rotate textures a full 360 degrees or if we had more textures in general. /grumble
That looks freaking amazing. Not sure about the front though. Probably because I'm used to ships like that being longer and tapering towards the front.
I spent some time in my SP game. I spawned in the Argentspire CV landing add on pad. Which doesn't have structural support pillars. So, I spawned it where I wanted it, squared it up with setrotation, then marked the corners and deleted it. I then spent 25 T2 drill charges filling in the land required. For the love of god, give me fill / level on HV drills / drill turret.
I never had a problem with the filter. But that asside. You posted your message 4 times, a bit much and this topic is not the right place for that.
i think you should find out server forum/ discord and speak with admins instead of spamming here. ( you could make one reply instead of 10 for example )
Well, after all is this thread is called What did you do in Empyrion today? but what I read from your postings it might have fit into ONE post
like i did said before. YOU SHOULD SPEAK WITH SERVER OWNERS/ADMINS ABOUT THAT not in here. every one of us play on different servers, some are hosting their own servers others play in single player only.
Your CV will really be very interesting .... I like this ... I hope you will not stop the game size limitation of the building
@Kilgore Trout Honestly, the way You post here, I would ban You from here as well, and it's not because of WHAT You're saying... Seeing the way You spam here, I doubt it's the language that got You banned from there...
I still have a few HV submissions to fix, but the HV I really wanted to use next in my survival game was a prototype mining HV that had also become an oven with Alpha 8. So I spent a little time yesterday and today to completely rebuild the Thorax. This will eventually be the mining HV for my Dragonfly Industries collection. Granted, in my survival game, I will want to make a short warp jump with an SV to try and get some sathium to build my Mini Nymph HV as well. Spoiler: Pics For those who might not have seen my prior pics of the Thorax or the YouTube video where I tested it out, the Thorax was built for an unconventional attack on a POI. Or, simply mining resource deposits. Unlike some HV miners that mix POI assault with mining, this is NOT intended for knocking on the front door of a POI. Using only basic steel, this thing has paper thin armor. In my YouTube video, I took the original prototype on a trial run for what it is intended to do, dig a tunnel and then punch a hole in the basement of a POI. The original prototype is on the left of this first pic. You can see the thrusters lined up around the cabin. As I said, it became an oven with Alpha 8. The new prototype on the right moves all those thrusters away from from the cabin best I could manage, and a slightly narrower window for the mining side of the vessel. The gatling guns on the other end of the HV are for punching a hole in a basement. Punching a crude hole in the basement of a POI isn't exactly a precise science. You could end up dropping some aliens down into your tunnel with you. So the turrets offer some defense in those situations. Since we are looking at the same two from the other side, this time the original is on the right. It might be hard to count the turrets in all that clutter of guns and thrusters, but there are four turrets on the original. And while that worked fine in my testing in Alpha 7, I noticed that the one turret was now sitting in the middle of my window view while driving. So I moved the "platform" down a block, which meant dropping the turret on the underside, reducing the HV to three turrets. This way the turret seen shouldn't block my view of the target for the gatling guns. There is no sathium in the Thorax. Not one ingot. I wanted the Thorax to be light. When I publish it to the workshop, I will probably say it is climb rated for 1.7g but is almost has enough thrust in one particular direction for a vertical climb in 2.0g. So very, very close but not quite.... Maybe it can do a vertical climb in 1.9g? I am hoping it passes my further testing without needing to add weight to the build. For it isn't just a matter of digging a tunnel to the basement, there is the matter that this thing needs to climb out of whatever hole/tunnel it has dug.
Some yes, some no. I'm using some different shaped blocks for edges or walls that can't be rotated without messing up the shape of the structure.
Searcher 600 released Made with divers in mind with the diagonal down facing spotlights around the rear ceiling canopy. An o2 station under the canopy. The ability to move as slow as 6.0m/s with very little acceleration in its slowest speed setting would hopefully allow diving crews to walk along the seabed at night or day as the ship rides slowly ahead illuminating as they walk. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1442455442
