Hello! We created a dedicated server on Nitrado (that is one of your adviced sites). But i have a question, how can i put that it no longer use fuel/food degeneration when noone is online? Someone, a time ago, told me that it was possible to deactivate playfield and it no longer use energy. It can be done also now? How? If no it has no sense to use dedicated server...Thank you
Ok thank you. Other 2 questions: 1. I put the Server visible, and a name, but when i search in the Internet, i can't find it 2. How can i save a server? Each time i want to enter i have to use ip and port (i also activate a subdomain but it doesn't work) 3. Can i start/stop/restart the server from telnet? @Taelyn
server are automaticly saved after entering them once. There saved with the servers IP. Since u said its Nitrado. Get in contact with there support. @Telnet. Yes u can stop a server, No u cant start it
In the server description? You can't in EAH tool and if you do it in dedicated.yaml server won't boot due to incorrect formatting.
I have a domain like myserver.host.comort, how can i use it in Empyrion? Where i put usually the ips i cant put it...how can i do?
Can the backup tool, in timetable, be used without a restart of the server? Works fine with a restart. Maybe this is by design?
Hey, you mean in EAH or in Empyrion? Are you using the lite or the Full version? Which IP setting? For telnet, FTP, the Server IP in the Config, Sync IP? Behind every DNS name is a IP. As long as that IP is static, which I hope in this case, then just find the IP behind the DNS and you can enter that one if the DNS name does not work. Hey, well you could, but I am not sure if it is that good. A backup has to have access to the files. But while the game is running the game constantly writes into those files, and also locks them. Also it might slow your server down for that time. So even though it will work, it might have some side effects. Maybe the Backup would be corrupt, like some empty files. So a full Backup I would only do when the server is stopped. A structure backup should be ok. We do a structure backup every hour for example (while the server runs) and that works well.
Hey, Hope you can provide some help here, I have the trading outpost orbit playfield set to remove structures after 2 hours. I have a player who created a ship in a different playfield 5 hours ago, he then took his ship to the trading outpost orbit and it was deleted due to existing more than 2 hours, even though he had only been there a few minutes. Is this normal and is there a workaround?
Hey. Yes that is normal. The function only checks the creation date. It was meant to be used in starting areas to get people moving into the universe and make space for new players without tons of old structures laying around and preventing further building or influencing the performance.
Anybody know why people keep getting warped every time they log onto my server!? I swear I've done everything I can think of to fix it. I had originally set aside a planet for just my friends and I but I later decided to make the server public. Now, every time someone new logs on to my server and tries to land on the starter planet, it warps them. Here's what they get: "@xxxxx. You got warped since you were on a restricted playfield. This playfield belongs to origin 0." Short of completely uninstalling the server from my computer and starting from scratch, how can I fix this? The server has a lot of content that my friends have created and I don't want to lose it all.
Hey just open EAH, go to the Playfield list and remove the "Belongs to" setting for those Playfields. Set them to 999. Or deactivate the "Config\Structures\Activate Playfield restriction" Option.
On my dedicated server, I have "Allowed Blueprints" set to "All" and "Max allowed size class" set to "0", yet there are blueprints that say I can't use because they are restricted by the server settings. Some are these are very small HV.
Hey, does EAH set it wrong in the gameoptions.yaml? If yes: What does it say there / compared to EAH? If not this is a game bug rather EAH. You might want to address it then in another section of this forum.
