Any way to add more ore types to starting planet

So, im looking for a way to add more ore types to the default starting planets in random play. I know I can change what is in the current Content/Playfields folders, but if I try to add to the current list, I get errors when starting the game.

Is there a way to do this?

 

Dedicated server or single player?

 

Single player, random generation
