Finally I’ve been able to outfit and finish my new hover vehicle. Morgenroete's ATV Over Lander - S This is the Level 10 standard edition of the Over Lander hover vehicle. The Cabin is pressurized, equipped and it now comes with a fitted a 30mm mini-gun for defence. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1605449294
I should have worked on my first (SV) SPQR Eridanus but... as I intend to start a new game I thought it would better to build my FIRST Hover Vehicle. I took ideas of its form and shape from a HV on the Workshop which was my default starter HV for the last Year. So -> (HV) SPQR Carrus Additional Pics for Stats and how Light and Texturing looks like If stepping out of the Seat and close to the windshield I am able to release the Drone HV not yet released on WS
<chuckle> I guess great minds think alike. It looks like you did a similar spotlight setup to what I pulled on a previous build. I'm guessing that the top spotlights shoot straight ahead and the bottom ones are aimed at the ground?
Started working on a portable clock, 7-segment indicator is a-ok. Still wrapping my mind around latches and other background concepts, without a real timer it may be impossible to run it on delays only.. Zero is not a separate signal but a state of no signals. Kinda intuitive
As for what I did in Empyrion today... If it fits I sits. (I could not find a landing pad large enough)
You could use a door pulse generator, which will give you a 1 second clock (not sure about its long-term stability; there'll probably be some drift over time).
I wasn't planning to work on my Goose CV at all. Not what I needed to work on. Not what I wanted to work on. But as popped into the game to start building something for the fun of it, there was the Goose sitting there in front of me. I can't even remember why I spawned it in this creative saved game. Slipped over there to check it for violation of the CPU maximum. A fair bit over just as I guessed it would be. The dilemma for me? To get the Goose under the CPU max, I have to use L thrusters. Which means it violates my original plans for the Goose. The Goose wasn't supposed to require erestrum or zascosium. So I can get the Goose under the CPU max, but I would need to accept a change in the parameters of materials to build the Goose.... Well, I have some time to ponder that. Old and new parked really close.... I think it looks better with the M thrusters, but it costs too much CPU. [edit] Went to orbit with my SV parked on the Goose. I knew that the Swallow is built for 2.0 g, but I forgot the 2 g thrust is the bottom thrusters. So when I pointed the nose to the sky, I watched my distance to orbit increase. I was falling! Then I remembered how I built the Swallow. Instead of pointing the nose to the sky, I aimed to climb at an angle. Amazing what a difference that made. Now I was climbing at a good rate.
Readied my 'Slicker' for the Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1604497794 After some more practial excourses with my faction mate raiding some POI's, figured it does a nice job vs up to 8 Alien turrets (+ some sentries) HOWEVER, due to the small size, it is difficult to use it as fighter, IF the volume is ON. It has 2 CC with 1 CE each, so 2x 250l = 500l = 4 small ammo boxes. (thats 2 more than previously) After some test flights on medium (1.5-2g) gravity planets, figured it redlines.. So i've installed 2 more engines (7.2mw), now it handles well in up to 3G, where only an artistic flight stlye with loopings and screwdriver-turns will redline the engine. The 4 small cargo containers can only be physicly access in space, since we cannot crouch or lay under the SV, but since it has 'WiFi' who cares I really hope they push a volume update, and dont forget the sandbox aspect of the game in the meantime….
At one point I said that I would never make a CV smaller than the Courage. When I said that, I could never see myself doing this: Considering the Goose might not end up being the CV I had set out to make, perhaps a cheap freighter could be my consolation prize?
I finished the (SV) SPQR Eridanus - also not yet released on the WS - it has become a Heavy Transport/Dropship with "some" guns and Warp. It comes at Level 20 because of the mounted weapons but by removing those you can have it at Level 10 I believe.
Would be awesome if they gave us a lcd display with the i/o gate system I was just playing with this lcd gate simulator in this flash based page http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6652874004103168/lcd-display-and-logic-gates Might be useful for some if we ever get the LCD feature ^-^ OOh imagine a weight counter for ships ^-^ @Pantera
I made a box ..that moves! It's on workshop here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1606387731 Lvl 7 CV, stores 1,280,000 SU, 45 m/s lift (easily increased with CV S thrusters) Was attempting to make a POI-salvager HV (basically re-making the old WorkerBee hv) and quickly realized that it's not really feasible unless you have a CV sized box to unload into nearby (the more efficient / common sense thing would be to allow CV multi-tools to be used on planet) so I made this box CV to go along with the salvager HV. It's pretty much done but I need to do a bit of survival testing and might re-paint it to match the box. It's made to tilt fully left/right by toggling hover engines and raising/lowering hover height. (so it can both mine dirt around POI's and Multi-tool stuff down in the ground

Made some improvements to my on my hover vehicle today. Morgenroete's ATV Over Lander – S - Ver 1.1 is now available. Added rear cargo area for them extra-large items. To increase manoeuvrability and balance. I’ve removed the harvesting module from the front. Finally I've upgraded the thrust for forwards and backwards. "It can now climb those pesky hills with no problem." https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1605449294
I love that with the diagonal angled spotlights we can actually achieve two different angles of illumination...
