I had updated the prefab file again and now all POIs work. Thank you Except that Alien can open the door himself so they all go out to the same room. I still have problems with message: "An internal error occured". It is possible to play when I press continue.
I had just removed all POIs except Drone Base. https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8c7gc3w5kk36a0/EPDBackup_2019-01-15_191249.yaml?dl=0
One thing that could cause this problem is that you deleted the POIs from the 'SpawnZones' as I mentioned but left the rest of the SpawnZone active. That doesn't really make sense, as the SpawnZones define areas (or POIs) where creatures should spawn. If you leave this list empty, that might cause the internal error you have. You can delete the first three rows and the last row. (Where it say '@ Always @') The only line that should work is the one with the DroneBaseT1. The others you can delete. It will have no effect anyway and maybe that's the cause of your problem. /jmc
@Mia try setting your doors to follow a signal (could be a dummy lever somewhere hidden). This might prevent NPCs from being able to open the door but still allow a player to manually open it if set to unlock code 0000. I'm not sure that will work though. You could also try setting a random lock code.
I just worked a whole weekend to get this to work... ffs. Some things I can tell you if it's not working: If you're spawning on another playfield instead of the one you're on, your POI is inside a planet If you're not spawning where the structure is, and the structure exists, make sure you're using the structure's *name*, not prefab name in the spawn info If you're not spawning where the structure is, and the structure isn't there, it's either not setup right or is completely missing Hope this saves you some time.
I had to delete the first three rows and the last row and it didn't work. Then tested and removed all rows then it worked. All doors are set to 0000, its public because the core is pink. Now works to spawning in Structure (POI) most of the time. sometimes I spawn under the floor and sometimes without the POI.
You just select the one value that should be added/subtracted from your global playfield difficulty. That way you can make some POIs harder/easier, than what your playfield is generally set to. If you select +10, then +10 will be added to whatever your playfield difficulty is set to. The list is just sorted oddly, thats all. /jmc
there REALLY needs to be a updated video tutorial on youtube soon idk how to even work half this program still p.s. does this work say as a single player planet? ive been trying to make my custom planet for 5 months with no success
Yes you can use this to make single player or multi player planets. What kind of trouble are you running into? Maybe we can help!
Something useful to add for terrain editor stuff: ability to select from predefined biomes a player has created (or copied from SSG). preflight check for dangerously out of date prefab additions better way to describe percentiles, saying min 0 and max 1 might be confusing to some people.
the tools been updated so let me try again and get back to you when im stuck, think its mostly how i want the planet to look is where i get stuck
Does EPD work in Alpha 9.3 or should we wait for new patches? Sorry, I'm a little impatient to start with rebuilding the scenario.
I'm not aware of any changes in properties, so latest version should be 9.3 compatible. Except 'Creepy' NPX is still missing from the databases and Taelyn did let me know that there's the discount value missing from the TraderConfig Editor. maybe I'll fix those next weekend. But basically I think, you're good to go until someone tells me otherwise. /jmc
Hey there so I ran across a problem today As you know EAH uses the port 12345 and it seems that EPD is using the same port this is interfering with the chatbot function of the EAH is there a way to fix this ?
EPD is using 12350 by default. I changed that about a year ago not to conflict with EAH. Before that it was 12345. But you can change it right there to anything you like. Make sure the config file is also set to 12350 or whatever you set it to in options. /jmc
UPDATE (v1.60.3 b1763) with Alpha 9.3.0 support CHANGES: added missing 'Discount' property to TraderNPCConfig added 'Creepy' to NPCs database. FIXES: TraderConfig Editor did not open TraderNPCConfig.ecf anymore ('input string was not in a correct format') due to changes in ConfigFile structure.
