If I created and kept up to date a WIP test scenario with some of the planets and POIs (along with all the default planets), would anyone be interested in trying them out?
I am interested. Please share it. I keep an eye for this forum for weeks now, regarding any news etc. Depending the progress you have done with it we can post bugs or impressions etc so you can keep updating and improving it as you plan.

Yup, I'm using your 'expanded default' in latest SP (but my EGS on holding ATM, kinda waiting for smarter Troop Transport & Drones ). Maybe you can place some of the planets & special places in teleport instances, if that helps with updates & testing.
Updated the main post with more up to date info. It's awesome to see people so interested in this! I'll look into throwing together a test scenario with some of my current progress on planets.. It's the POIs that take up most of the time so far, but luckily once I get a good variety of POIs then I can focus more on the planets. I'm definitely not the best POI or playfield creator out there but I hope I can create some unique or interesting things for people to discover. I post a lot of my progress over in the What did you do in Empyrion today thread. Spoiler warning though!

I just updated the test scenario. Update requires a new game to see the changes. Updated Lava planets: Updated Desert Oasis planet: Updated Ice planet: Added Plasma planet: - Previously had an AI bug on the Plasma planet. I think I fixed it but if you get a "Continue or Quit" error loop, try opening the console and typing "ai off" so it stops and allows you to leave the planet. Type "ai on" to re-enable the AI. Please let me know if you encounter this nasty bug. Spoiler: Full Changelog Updated Lava planets: - Added new Rados Foundry, Service Platform, and Cargo Pad POIs to Lava Lakes. The Foundry is a unique POI that requires you to find 4 switches throughout the facility before you can initiate a core self destruct. Updated Desert Oasis planet: - Fixed offset of Water Hole Auxiliary POI. Shouldn't be buried under sand now. I hope. - Updated work-in-progress Abandoned Tomb. More rooms added. Still half finished. Admin cored dungeon that requires solving puzzles and dealing with traps and enemies to progress. - Updated Talon Sunpriest and Talon Moonpriest traders. They now give flavor text referencing the Abandoned Tomb and ask you to retrieve Ancient Relics from the tomb for a money reward. (wip) Updated Ice planet: - Updated textures, mountain height, and Cobalt deposits. - Added floating Advanced Mining Platform Zirax POIs drilling into large Cobalt deposits. Should be a nice challenge for a nice reward, if Cobalt is what you're after. - Added a chance for a Polaris industrial POI complex to spawn on the very tops of mountains. Won't appear on every seed. Might add custom POIs for this eventually. Added Plasma planet: - Ultra difficulty promethium rich planet. - High gravity, high radiation, high temperature. - Has several custom Rados and Abyssal POIs. - The Promethium Refinery is an old POI that is currently a placeholder. Will create a proper Rados Promethium Refinery POI in the future. - Has many "terrain" POIs. - Very experimental planet. May be laggy. - Spawns far away from the sun. - Previously had an AI bug. I encountered the "Continue or Quit" yesterday before the last update but I thought it was my client installation or my PC. I did not have the time to troubleshoot further, though. I am glad you fixed it now, thank you.
CRAP! ... too soon! ... toooo SOOON! I played a lot yesterday starting on your original snowy planet in my little RP variation - and I just finished carving out garage for my scout-tank inside your EXCELLENT abb. UCH lab... and now I have to start again I will do it again in the same style to see do I have same couple of little bugs (nothing big, few POI/terrain glitches). Planet & first story POI are GREAT! - haven't been in to Alien Cave yet, with personal drone it looked to me like no 'reward' is down there (but looked amazing inside). What's up with starting seed, when you want this snow planet start? I generated OK twice with seed number that game offered, but once with my number game blocked & crashed.
You mean if you manually put a seed in it crashed? Glad you're enjoying it so far! The cave does have a little something to mine inside. Plus it's very pretty at night.
Then sorry I do not remember correctly. Other guess is it might be the metal one, or the your desert.That day I visit two planets. One was the CoQ message and the other was a very large one on size. I do not have the save game since I started a new one since you fixed the scenario, sorry.
If it happens to you again let me know. I have only encountered it on my plasma planet. It's a blue glowing planet. I disabled all creature spawns on that hellhole so hopefully that fixed it.
