Looks like a game bug. I found a bug report on it here: https://empyriononline.com/threads/floating-starter-wreckages.55123/
Bet it is a bug, but I discovered several POI's that were floating in the air, and then some were spawning on top of each other: Also, how did this happen? Seed: 33712. Here are the coordinates: I think I could probably find the overlapping buildings again, but it takes a bit for my computer to load the scenario and I must be off to bed. Logs attached if you want them. On a more fun note, this is neat: I had thought there to be only the one Wrecked Small Vessel model, but I found two of each and this variant was a real treasure.
The floating buildings was reported. It's a game bug, happens even in the default game. POIs spawning too close can sometimes happen with the way those POIs are set up. I'll try to make them a bit more spread out but it might not eliminate it completely. That ship's pilot must have been drunk!

When I entered orbit around the Arid-Starter Planet I noticed the following thing in the Console Also some Polaris Trader seem still to hang out with the old Tools...at least they WANT to trade with it...
Oops thanks for the reminder about the tools! The starter orbits are basically the default ones. Sometimes the game will fail to spawn a space POI because it's inside the planet. I have no idea why it happens because it's supposed to push the POIs away from the planet. Not sure if there's anything I can do to completely stop it from happening.
A question towards those Planets which are generated withing Eden: Are the fixated in their size or does it happen that one time the Planets are size 3 and the next time size 4 or 5? I am asking because sometimes when I start the Scenario new and I change the preset Planet Size from Medium to large a CoQ appears.
In single player you can set the size of the starter planets within a range. There's a bug with changing seeds do don't do that unless you know how to bypass the bug.
Trying to get 2 more paid weeks off work so I can work on this. Not sure when the next update will be but I'll be fixing the random issues people have brought up and working on adding some more planets. I'm holding off on working on POIs until I'm sure the blueprint bugs are fixed in experimental. Wouldn't want to work on a giant POI only to have the signal logic go haywire or something.
Speaking of giant POIs, my crew just made our first real exploration of a jungle planet. Holy crap. You and Ramachandra did an awesome job on those.
He makes epic things! I haven't explored his POIs yet because I'm saving them for my own survival play through.
Well sir seeing what you have done. Armed with your advice I did as instructed. Only thing I had trouble with was the bug in the SSG. But there was a work around. My own scenario that I had started in v8 then found it wouldn't do what I wanted. So I put it back on the back burner. Now I can do what I wanted too in the first place. So again thank you for helping me to decide to bring my scenario back to life and out of mothballs. Mate your Eden is a wealth of information in how things can be changed. For editing the ymal has seemed to have gotten a lot easier now with the use of random generation. Anyways thank you Mate.
Short teaser video of a new Crystalline Moon variation coming next update. Spoiler warning, of course:
Question: above the OddTemperate Planet rises each night a Moon. It IS listed in the Sector Info...but not visualized in the Star Map
That's a slightly modified version of the default starter moon so it shouldn't cause any map issues and I just tested the scenario the other day and the starter moons were visible on the sector map. I'm getting a new update ready so I'll try to reproduce this so I can post a bug report. Thank you!
Pentacorps Trader gives me a CoQ when trying to trade At least... I think... the Credits could not be the Problem here
Yup known issue I've submitted a bug report on. As a workaround you have to copy the trader file from the scenario over into the configuration folder for empyrion. (Back up your current trader file). I really hope this gets fixed soon because it breaks any scenario that relies on traders. I need to add this info to the main workshop post but I haven't had a chance to yet.
It might help if you attach your log file to the bug report after speaking with that trader, if you get a chance. https://empyriononline.com/threads/custom-traders-bugged-in-workshop-scenarios-6555.55478/
Forget the Missing Moon issue...the Moon was in such a dark color that I only saw it when turning the whole system up side down...so, yeah, the moon IS visible in the Starmap.
