The Snow Planet I am currently on - gathering Water - has a strange aura in the northern polar region. I noticed it first when I approached the Planet and opened the Orbit Map. It has a purple shine. It is also visible on the Map of the Planet when on the surface but here only the Stars.
You can fix that by copying the trader file over: For new or current saves: Copy the TraderNPCConfig.ecf file from the scenario folder in: SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/383120/1742662471/Content/Configuration And put it into the Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Content/Configuration folder. Backup the original trader file first. The custom trader file does affect some of the pricing of the default traders and will affect all of your games, not just ones started with this scenario. I really hope they fix this bug soon! Got a bug report open about it.
I believe I will stay a bit on the Crystalline Moon! It fantastic If the Good of Fire smiles at you...just smile back!
We definitely need devs to implement more star systems It's impossible to read anything out of a map with this much planets in one single star system....
Well, the game suposed to have a galaxy with various solar system. In the begining it was only one area where the player could visit planets in the same orbit, with no warp jumps at all. But it is many yers now that it is in its present form. We have yet to see if the multi solar systems are going to be implemented.
Have not been playing the game as much as of late, but I am keeping an eye out for the next Eden update? Any ETA? Next public release?
Whenever alpha 10.5 comes out. There's ways of navigating the sector map that help. I should write up a guide on it. But I agree.
Planning for when alpha 10.5 goes live. I know it'll be a bit but this gives me time to make a really great update, and since the x.5 updates usually have more content than usual, it will give me a chance to incorporate any new game features or make any needed changes to the scenario. Also hopefully some of the game bugs can get fixed too.
OK. Than I will do a fresh start without those updates. I saved the Retro-Comet with and without Warp+Shield. Also my CV as a level 15 and level 25 just with placeholders for the to-be-learned Devices.
I've been messing around with the scenario and it's real great, found some minor bugs mostly related to POI placements and a few related to game bugs Not sure you already fixed these in the new version so I'll just post them here.... POI placing problems.... This one should probably be a bit higher This one should probably be placed right in the water as it will be very difficult to find a plane area to fit it all without the Flattens Ground Ho and the water in tropical planets is probably a bit too blue? Makes it all look unreal, breaks immersion IMHO Another problems with tropical and swamp planets is, I love them they feel so alive and we see life in the water and going out at night to the swamp is a rush but the overload of plants and trees makes it impossible to play in those planets in lower PCs like mine as it becomes very slow and painful, maybe just tone it down a bit regarding water plants and trees? Ho and this guy was found trying on several occasions to swim across the channel... And planets size 5 will probably need more space, just place the moons a bit further.... Now the good stuff, who was the sick bastard who created this?!?... Love it... But I basically just nuked the place until I found I could just dig my way trough.... And these are awesome... Love this one... Love this one.... Hate this one... But I've not found any that would force us to fight our way in to get to the data yet, are there any? I also love the amount of stuff we can find in space, makes exploring a fun activity About the plasma planet, I think it's really bad you make players believe they can just dig promethium where they land....
Hey thanks for the feedback! That's a default POI so the devs will have to fix it. Not sure if they already fixed it but I'll let them know if it's not. It's supposed to be placed in the water. Unfortunately, the POI placement system I think only counts the center of the POI, so sometimes placements like this will happen. I even created a second biome specifically for placing this POI so it wouldn't place over the ground but it will sometimes happen. I just made a quick tweak to try to lower the chance it does this. Byproduct of the sand texture used. I tried setting it up so only the beaches were bright blue, but it didn't look as good that way. I like the water there. The swamp planets are default (except for some edits to fit them with the scenario). How does it run compared to say, the forest biome on the default temperate starting planet? I could look into lowering the deco on some of these planets. I don't have older PCs to test on so my benchmark is basically "does it run at 60FPS with max settings on my system?" so it's good to get feedback about how it runs on older PCs. Some of the planets will just be more demanding than average though. "Why did the slime cross the channel"? This is the first time I've seen this. Hmm... Can you get me the seed you used so I can check it out? It should be shown in the console when you resume the game. I can increase the minimum distance slightly easily enough so that shouldn't happen but... It still shouldn't happen with the current distances set. In fact the game automatically spreads the moons out a LOT when the planet is size 5. Sometimes they can end up 20km from the planet. Thank you for spotting this. That was the first asteroid POI I made. It's definitely due for a refit and I want to make a lot more of them. There aren't any combat data POIs yet, as it's meant to be more of a specialized puzzle experience. Thanks so much for all the feedback!
Yeah, swamps run badly on my system on default as well, just lower the small trees and bushes and some of the harvestables like fiber, on the tropical there's probably too many small trees in the water and the forest with the taller trees it's also a bit too much The forest biome in temperate runs at about ~56 these run about ~48 Well, in fact some of them are already 16km, maybe it's just a map bug Seed is 138836 planet Ghorith but with the new naming stuff can change About that, one of these is broken, one of the sides is already hacked and the switches are off but when I hack the rest of them the doors don't open
I'll check those all out. I noticed some oddities with another hacking POI I'm currently making. When I tested it in survival, it was broken, but when I spawned it in creative it was working fine. Double checked that I was using the right files and everything.
Question: Was it INTENTIONAL to have a vast Silicon Deposit - the only one I found so far - on the Dead Planet? The Deposit is a Voxel - Type.
Yes, though it should be fairly small. It's meant to be used with autominers as an infinite deposit. Thanks for reminding me that I need to include that in the planet description. There should be 1 iron, copper, and silicon deposit on the volcanic-ish dead planet (not the starting dead planet).
