Looking for cheap game server to rent

Hi guys,

me and two friends would like to play Empyrion together on a game server. We only need 3 slots currently, maybe up to 5 in the future. We want to rent a game server. The cheapest one I could find so far is citadelservers.com for around 18 USD/month, but they have a minimum of 20 slots - far more than we need.

Is there any better/cheaper alternative for renting a game server?

I know that we could set up our own dedicated server, but we would rather rent one.

just for anyone's info. I ended up with Citadel Servers. They have a XMas sale with 20% price reduction ongoing currently. I got a server with 20 slots for 3 months for about 40 USD (that is about 0.70 USD/slot/month). Three of us played on it yesterday evening and it performs without any problems. We might let more people in in the future, I will post here then. I'm not affiliated, just wanted to share my experience. Citadel was the cheapest we could find and so far it performs flawlessly. I also had to contact customer support for a small issue, which was resolved immediately.

I used GTXGAMING and pay 27 bucks for 10 slots. It has a great control panel and runs very well.

 

Do these server company's have Empyrion on there inventory list if games?

In the past I had to buy the game for the server company. Did I buy nope. Went to a different company. To bad to because pings were real good on the one that didn't have the game. Game was Allied Assault (Spearhead). There server without the game was in Toronto I'm in Alberta. Had to get a server in New York. Later moved it to Chicago.
