I want to modify the NPC faction reputation calculation rule in the game. If the player is not in the NPC faction range every 5 minutes, it will increase the 25 reputation. Now I want to disable this rule. How do I do this?
In regards to factions and customizing them; I have added my own groups, like 'Refugee' and 'Terran' as player starts, with their own respective factions for players to join, to the game...... That has been interesting, and allowed for a deeper level of customization and storytelling. However, having a config file for the NPC's, the Settings for which actions affect reputation, and being able to add custom NPC factions, with names and types, to the game. It would add value and dynamic to the custom scenarios. Having multiple NPC factions could add to a game dynamic. Ground, Water, Air, Space, Tactical, Guerrilla, Rogue, or Pirate Factions, or even mixed Factions. Faction Warfare should also include war between NPC factions. Having your raid interrupted by a 'Waring NPC faction attack' would add a challenge to your average base raid. It could help or hinder. In space: Imagine stumbling across a freighter being attacked by pirates. Given the opportunity, you could help the pirates, or help the freighter... or take it all!
I was able to actually kind of do this before NPC factions were added by spawning the CV as a player ship. Then spawning a nearby Zirax ship that would attack it. I have not tried since factions got added. I also notice the PDA has a function to spawn drones to attack a structure near the player. Not sure how well this works.
NPCs don't fire on each others or public faction structures. And there's no way to spawn a ship as a "player" or "human" faction. Interestingly there is a human faction in the game, and NPCs will fire on it, but it's not available for POI spawning.
