Ravien, are there texure layers that can't be drilled thorugh?!! We are making a base on a Crystaline Moon and there is a layer over Erestrium Deposits that we can't drill through no matter what. Bug? Or is that texture that way?

Those deposits need an auto miner. Look for the biome hardened crystal, that has the layer. Regular crystal biome can be dug down to bedrock.

How do you make that layer un-drillable? Is that a setting or does that texture just have that property?

The bedrock textures can't be drilled.
You can also set the whole planet as undrillable in the playfield.

    Hi ravien_ff,

I've started a new game on the Swamp Planet - very nice btw - but have encountered an issue where Magnesium Deposits, at least the one I've found is empty. I.e. the deposit is marked "Magnesium Deposit - Size: Small, approx. 100% ore left" but there's no actual voxel or chunk ore there.

This was a vanilla issue once, but I've not seen it in ages. Out of time this eve, but I can upload a save if you like?

It's a game bug. Shows up more in my scenario because every deposit is the nugget style. Report it as a bug if you want. Your save game might help them track it down.

You should add that on the "Baby is coming back"-Planet most Deposits are of the Voxel-Type. I had there too a Deposit, in my Case a very small Promethium, without any trace of Ore. (Iron, Silicon, Copper - Voxel; Promethium, Gold - Nuggets)

Yeah I kept the basic ores on that planet as voxel precisely because I didn't want this bug turning off a new player.

I'd say it would really help if you could submit a bug report and upload your save game so the devs could take a look. :D

To keep the Deposit as Voxel is for beginners easier as the moment when your Inventory is full is easier to manage as when drilling a Nugget and a part of it drops down and can't get pick up because you're full. But we talked about that point before.;)

Ok, will do that this evening. I've submitted saves for this bug in the past, I guess there are a few edge cases still.

Please let me know what you think! I haven't really tested it much yet.

Well... I only just realised I can do that, so I didn't do any of it so far, I mostly just sell stuff I get from POIs. But, I have me sheet ready I'm noting down every special trader I find and when I done some trading, I'll tell you what I think.

I was wondering, do the traders reset their orders after a while?

Yes. Default is 1 hour. Some of the custom bulk traders take 3 or 10 hours though.

Thank you. I did not now there was an ability to set them that way. I guess you mean 1 real time hour, not game time. Also one more question. Do traders exist that trade the new CPU components? Sorry I have low information regarding traders, in general. I do not use them much, but with the new CPU components are a must.

    Yes it's in real time.

The default traders that have CPU components:
Quantum Star (located in Temperate and Arid starter orbits).
Bertrams and Servant Corp (located in various Polaris trade stations).

Some of the custom Polaris orbital factories also sell them.
You can also find CPU extenders in a few of the custom POIs. The Drone faction found in the inner solar system is a good source of T3 CPU extenders but they are tough. Depends when you started your current save game though.
