Just want to find out, might have been asked. The lock on faction and restrict to Origin. Do they work hand in hand? IE how will I tell EPD that only faction members from for instance TFG may enter this planet?

 

Hey, Could i get some help with https://empyriononline.com/threads/instance-portals-and-how-to-set-them-up.38015/ Im trying to get the poi to load on the the playfield of the instance planet. I have 3 other instances that are working This one is just being a pain any help would great. Sorry if this is not the right place to post this.

 

I'm sorry, haven't set up an instance yet myself. but there's not much to configure in the playfield. That loks fine to me.

So i'm guessing, either the palyfield, base or portal is not found.

I would try and leave out spaces in all names for a testrun. Maybe that's the issue. But not sure.

Edit:
Do you use this bluprint also as the exit POI on your target planet?
You know, the name of the exit Portal is setup as 'TCExit', not 'RP', as setup in your enter Portal. Just a thing i noticed.

Yeah I dont get it I can ad it to my starter planet and it spawns in and is fine it just wont spawn in the instance planet. i guess the only thing to do now is make a new instance for it. Thanks for looking at this for me.

Edit :

OK so I made a new playfield instance for the poi and now it works I guess the playfield was bad i run in to this problem were the ssg doesn't make the playfield correctly.

 

Will this tool be updated for 9.0 bud ?

 

So far, you can still use the tool. Not much changes in the planets. You will need to manually add the line for the faction to the POIs. Simple stuff. I’m sure he’ll be able to incorporate that.

There will be an Alpha9 version, but it's not going to be the one in this thread, as this one's only for pre Alpha8 versions of the game.

Are the methods to avoid problems when spawning mobs still up to date? Especially this point with the dummy biomes - I have neither "altitude values" nor "slope values" in my playfield files.

I already use the latest version. But sometimes the mob spawns do not work correctly.

 

If you can, make a new post on this forum with details of what issues you're running into and include a copy of your playfield (either uploaded as .zip or rename the playfield files to a .txt file so you can upload them in your post). Will help with trying to troubleshoot why it's happening.
