Need help Wife is stuck across the galaxy with a one way trip to a POI that has a teleporter that is inactive, and we cant activate it. Save flying all the way over on a rescue mission how can I get her out using console commands??

Change the "role" of your wife to "Admin" : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Setrole allows you to change the role of other players... GM, Moderator, Admin or Player doesn't work on faction roles. Uses SteamID or player name Example: setrole MyWife Admin -------------------------------- If you have success here, then you could have your wife teleport herself to your playfield: -------------------------------- Sector to teleport from one planet to another you have to use Sector to move to the destination's Orbit first. Usage: Sector 'Akua Orbit' note: this command is Caps or case sensitive and requires single quotes if the name is more than one word. it Is possible to use just the first word in certain circumstances like Sector Akua -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like I wrote, I never tried this myself, and I would probably throw a party while my wife is stranded in another star system, but that's just me... But maybe someone else can bring more help if this is not working.
Yeh This game is getting increasingly fucking frustrating. I spent hours trying to find a teleport command that would allow someone to jump galaxies but that doesn't even seem remotely possible. I don't know fucking why. Second, there is no fucking warning that when you TP to a fucking god dam trade station that if the spanner icon in the hud is off it means the TP is not working on their side. Which ends up in a one way trip. Also the single quotes thing threw me. I spent an hour trying to work out why normal quotes was not working. So thanks for that, that helped heaps. Third... giving someone admin rights. First her name didn't work. Even though the game says her game name, and I can see her in the faction area with that given name. So I look up some more info and then people talking about editing some XML file, i skipped that and saw there was a mention that you use her steam ID. Which is Simaetha. That didn't work. So I did another deep dive into the dark web to find some absurd **** about it having to be a steamID64 string. JUST WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally got her admin rights. Had to then find a way to TP her a working station with a teleport console that is working. Then she was able to get home. Almost ready to throw this **** in the bin. /rant over. Sorry
Glad to see it (somewhat) worked ! I have to credit @Xango2000 for his Steam console help. I think it would be cool to have one on the official forums too. All this info you wrote here could be added so players facing the same situation could benefit from it.
If it is singleplayer, just type Code: sector 'Sector Name' tt 'Planet Name' The sector command is needed if you want to visit a planet in another system (1 sun + planets and their moons). If you (or she) are seated to a vessel (as pilot), the vessel with move with you. As described those commands are case-Sensitive. Hope this helps for the future. Use this website for Steam ID https://steamid.io/ Put the persons profile URL into that and it will tell you the steam ID's There are several types.
I'd just take the number from a local directory: Code: H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Blueprints\<STEAMID> Sorry I forgot to mention this earlier.
