Compass North different for each player

Experienced a bug on a planet where the compass north was different for each player.

I was asking my friend to come to South-East end of a ship, and he kept going to his NE which was not the same as mine.

We then checked by standing next to eachother and shooting our mining drill lasers in the direction of North and ended up shooting in different directions.

Not sure how/why this happened or if this happens often. It certainly led to confusion for us when trying to coordinate stuff or pointing out enemies.

Was any of you seated in the CV?
If yes, it might had been build in 'reversed' (usualy by accident).

 

How could he have fired his drill when seated in a Cockpit?

 

Mining CV / SV / HV?

 

Obviously true, it just sounds to me like they are using both the same drill. But what if both are sitting in a mining HV/[...]
