Turn off the HUD

A way to turn off the HUD no one likes the dam thing.

 

I don't mind it.
What do you not like about it and what would you change it to?

Edit: I take it the F6 key doesn't do what you want it to then..

 

I and others I play with don't like it. Its all over the screen and distracting. I would change it back to having none at all if I could. Its like having a crack in your car windshield right in your line of view. or a pop up add that wont go away. Why no toggle.

F6 removed the hud. What is wrong with that option? Does it remove too much info?

 

No it comes back when opening other things.

 

Oh, that's a bit silly.
I wonder of it's a design feature or they just don't know it comes back... If it's a design feature then its a rubbish one.

 

All they need to do is add a check box in settings. That's not to hard.

 

You would have thought you should only be able to turn it back on by using the F6 key again..

 

The only time I turn off the HUD is to take screenshots or to make precision landings (the toolbar gets in the way). Being an old fart, I sometimes forget to turn it back on. I have never had it come back on without hitting F6. I have noticed that after "sitting" in a chair, the toolbar is gone when I get out of the chair. It then does comeback when I scroll the mouse to select a tool slot.

Beyond that, I don't understand the problem. A bug of some kind?

 

I like the Heads Up Display for on Foot Utility.

 

Only thing is HUD could be a lil more minimal with slimmer lines and have ability to customize the colors and from the total information to be bale the player to filter what to present on HUD.
