I was making a movie reference, and fun of the DeLorean, which was so badly designed and overweight for its under-powered engine. Never run into an issue with the cockpit. Elaborate?

I did look that up, just haven't encountered it myself. I have seen the Mail and Continue message, and it seems to happen when lifting off using both vertical and aft thrust with Boosters. A normal vertical or aft thrust lift does not appear to do this.
Any word on when they are finally going to include this like you said? It's long past the exp phase now and still nothing is done about this at all. I think most of us thought when you said "will be done during EXP" that you meant 10.6 (11.0) EXP and not way way down the road.
As always, efforts are appreciated. Clearly not a high-priority item, but will be nice, though I'm OK with the default color.
Please can you add an option to remove the HUD but still display the POI and location tags on the screen so we can navigate? There really should be an option for this as it is far more immersive to see the beautiful view from your cockpit unhindered by so much HUD info.
This is what I can see from my cockpit : And if I go to the station, leaving my ship in place, this is what I see : It's obvious that players are no match for "auto-aiming turrets" and this renders all "manual" weapons virtually useless at range, and even closer because the size on turrets is so small in the overall scale of things in the game. This has been bugging me since I first started to play, and I think there could be a solution like this : make some little changes to the HUD so we can have a "zoom" view from the cockpit, which could (optionally) be adjusted (more or less zoom) : Here I moved the "toolbar" on the left side to remove clutter and only kept and highlighted the weapon range (and changed the icon from "ammo" to the weapon itself - more coherent). This could be a simple overlay and would make aiming much more fun that blindly shooting like we are presently. I think some of the "free slots" in the vertical "toolbar" could be removed (the hand?). As for the "3rd person view" we could have another option when cycling HUD display with F6 : Normal 3rd-person : By cycling F6 we could have this : I think that would make ship combat much more interesting and not only relying on homing missiles or auto-targeting turrets. .
Agreed, even if it is just removed in 3rd person flying mode. I was trying to collect plants at night the other day in my starter HV. The bright blue HUD made it very difficult to see what I was looking for, both because of the intensity of the light .v. the darkness, and also because it's always jiggling around. I pressed F6 a couple of times to remove it but it comes back every time you exit and enter your vehicle again.
