What you have paid for? You paid an ENTRANCE FEE for being Part in Alpha Testing! You got more than enough for your 'valued' money. Look what other Companies charge on STEAM or where ever for a full Game! So you paid €10-20 for what? A game that just left Alpha.
Just gotta ask...what game did you think you were paying for? When I read the description it says "Empyrion - Galactic Survival is a 3D open world space sandbox survival adventure. Build powerful ships, mighty space stations and vast planetary settlements to explore, conquer or exploit a variety of different planets and discover the mysteries of Empyrion!" Thats kinda what it is...its set in a galaxy, its 3d, its an open world, its in space, its a sandbox, you gotta survive. You can build ships, space stations...there are places to explore, things to conquer, and ores and materials to exploit, and there are a variety of planets to discover...
"discover the mysteries of Empyrion" supposed to be? Bugs? Unfinished features? The beauties of CPU system? Nah just trolling don't respond! But don't tell me you did not like my F1 joke!
I assume @Beasthammer has written again....as his way of "trolling" us....sad that I can't read it anymore
Random, extreme, and implausible "what if"s don't strengthen your argument. They do quite the opposite, in fact.
I understand the game is full of issues and rough edges. But during the 200 hours I invested in it I had more fun than anger. Issues exist in every game and there's always a workaround. Even the game configs and database are editable to suit someone's play style. I think the problem here is that this particular project is too ambitious for its own sake, don't get me wrong. That's not a bad thing. There are simpler games with couple set of rules that gain much more positive reviews. Why? Because it's easy for a small team to manage such a game. Now this one is a beast, a seven-headed beast that combines genres and simulate galaxies better than any online planetarium. Again, it has issues. A lot of them. But no titanic dragon is cute and it takes a lot of effort and dedication to tame such a beast.
It is clear what you meant but it is equally clear that you are unaware of how business works or you would know such a back of the envelope calculation is absolutely meaningless. It is not only missing 90% of the actual expenses involved, a business selling anything does not continue if sales do not continue period. That is just how it works. If you think the statement Elon made that money is not an issue means they will continue development at a loss then I have a bridge in Alaska you may be interested in. The continued development and completion of the game rests solely on its continued success no matter what statements the company may or may not release and we should honestly expect exactly that from any company we have a relationship with.
You are the one responding so... I am wasting time on it because I find the topic worth discussing. It is not, however, what Elon thinks that matters. That is not how business works. What matters is what the customers think and not customers as in the people here but rather the aggregate thoughts of those that continue to feed their business.
Yeah, I think this is something that sometimes we glaze over. I was explaining to a friend of mine all of the things we can do in this game and he was pretty amazed at all of the features...and it was all created by like 6 dudes. So I have accepted that there are just going to be a number of things these guys look at and say "You know, it would be awesome, but we just dont have the time/knowledge/experience/capability to pull that off effectively, so we wont." Id love for the planet side combat to be more FPS and reactive...but that means they are neglecting world creation, balance issues, back story updates, and so forth. Considering the finite human capital they have to invest, I am pretty amazed by what they have created, and still stand to develop in the future.
Well put. They may not be able to make the FPS better or equal to other games that offer only the FPS experience. But maybe they can tweak things a bit to please people like us who enjoy a a good shooter. If they soften the rough edges the game has potential to be much more than the unpolished diamond it is today. Time will tell.
Gratz with the 5th anniversary! Given my opinion on the V1 tag before, so I skip that, as long as improvements keep coming "as usual".
I agree with you, but the fact that stupid fanboys like we all know who they are cant even understand the problems we describing... These fanboys disgust me. They are always in stupid positive mode protecting their beloved dreams they are crafted in their heads. This game is an unpolished gem. If you read back my comments i was arguing ALWAYS about the priority of solving issues... Because dont tell me i cant play this game with I5-3570K-16GB ram and a GTX1060... I'm angry because they keep adding eyecandy (yes stupid fanboys whining for that) and not solving Performance issues... Like when i switch to max graphics --->> whooosss my 6GB of Vram is gone. I would like to play this game but those game breaking issues are in the way! Because Devs couldn't fix the memory leaks /issues which will always crash the game. If my computer will handle Cyberpunk 2077 on almost max/high graphics then Empyrion should run better. We will see. See? the argument is not about if empyrion is a good game or not... It is about mysery... This game is fucking myserable when you have your best moments ingame and then bam!! Crash exception XCXCXCXCXCXC and the nab error reporter freezes the whole computer. I didnt get any information so far when PERFORMANCE will be made better. All i need is info. Transparency. If devs would go: " hey fellas we will focus on performance issues for the whole 2020 Q3-Q4" I will lean back and return at 2021 Q1 and test it out... But they making shady promises and not talking to ppl.
I will work on the ferengi-klingon-vulcan-betazoid-android translator, so we will be able to talk without misunderstandings here. Trolls still will be shot on sight, because it's logical, and fullfilling at the same time. Just a thing: if you would hate this game, you wouldn't be here.
And you write this completely ignorant of the whole post history of each player you accuse. If you're still here, it's because you're either a "fanboy" like anyone that can defend this game minimally, or you have psychological problems expecting the devs to respond in a different manner than what you saw often enough to know by now. If you have kids, you know what I'm talking about. And you're an adult. OOops... @Normal69 was quicker (and nicer) than me.
Sorry, but the vogon constructor you see is my ship: It even has really mild and moderate gold plated marble interior:
