Currently when building, one must first select a block rotation axis and then rotate it around that axis. Could we please get a way to keybind the 6 individual rotation axes like in Space Engineers? Rotate counter/clockwise ( default to numpad 7,9) Rotate left/right (default to numpad 4, 6) Rotate up/down (default to numpad 8, 5 or 8, 2) I think this would be easier to use.
I could be wrong but with the new patch 1.1 I did see this. Is this related to what you are referring to? 2020-08-13 Patch v1.1 (Build 3065) Changes: - Build settings window: added shortcuts Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, Ctrl-X, Ctrl-R, Ctrl-D, Ctrl-F, Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-Shift-Z when the N popup is open (blocking nearly all other shortcuts when the N menu is open) - Build settings window: added shortcuts for rotating a block (scroll wheel) and toggling through axes (right mouse button) - Build settings window: middle mouse button will toggle through selection mode (move, scale, rotate)
That's still this. There's no easy way to rotate a block around a specific axis with one keybind. It's still unnecessarily convoluted.
For a comparison, here I am rotating a store block in Space Engineers using the following keybinds: e. how do i link to an imgur mp4 video and have it actually work e2. have a youtube link instead
I see what you mean, less over all keystrokes. like there should be a button we hit (even the N key) that will assign those numbers keys to that. I guess even reassigning keys in the settings won't help here either..
