its just for haven beeing maybe a bit easy without the spiders. (or hard because all predators you do find are the raptors) and i had base attacks on haven because of that one bug. so basically i did start on an normal starter but without spiders. for my next start I wanted to have a middleground between haven and the other starter planets. but maybe i try to start on a normal starter with ba off and turn it back on later when i go to other planets. also i think beeing able to turn the difficulty up half a step is the beauty of this game. i don't intent to do anny gamebreaking modding like giving that pesky pirate station a normal core instead of the admin one or deleting the patrol vessens, as i dont know the consequences, but i cant imagine bringing spiders to haven would break someting, and when i ask here i also hope to get a warning if it would break annything. and excuse my english, that sentence is bad...
You can adjust base attack properties in the playfield_static.yaml of a particular playfield, in the DroneBaseSetup section. Look at the parameters in the +ExamplePlanet's folder : (line 307) DroneBaseSetup: Random: - GroupName: DroneBaseSetup # Same name as DroneBaseSetup given under RandomPOIs (do not change) Difficulty: 1 # 0..4 -> 0 = no drone attack base, 1 = low difficulty, 2, 3 = medium difficulty, 4 = high difficulty (5, 6, 7 = low, medium, high difficulty but with infinite drone waves) PresetStyle: 2 # 0..4 # 0 = no drone attack base, # 1 = day + 2 triggers (base power and turret), # 2 = night + 2 triggers (base power and turret), # 3 = at once + 2 triggers (base power and turret), # 4 = night + turret trigger So you can adjust any playfield's base attack by simply changing 2 numbers : Difficulty and PresetStyle. Note that the DroneBase POI has some requirements too ( IsCommandCenter : true) --------------------------------------------------- For spiders it's a bit more complex, just look at the end of the same file as above to see what is required to get the critters to spawn. The only way to know if this will break something is to try it. There are just too many parameters at play. It could be a max number of enemies not allowed in X range of the players spawn, it could be conflicting spawn zones, etc. It can also break quests but that requires huge spoilers to know...
hmm, maybe i'm mistaken and there normally are drone attacks on haven? The dronebase thing is same for EdenStarterBeginner ans EdenStarterTemperate. then im ok with it as is and will start on another planet, not haven...
Temporary test version for Reforged Eden update: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2282696637 Main version will be updated sometime tomorrow once I make sure nothing is too broken.
Updated! Please see the change log here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/changelog/2154284616 Steam is currently having issues though so it might not show up.
Unfortunately I have a serious problem with the new version. Most of my structures will not, or even worse, spawn partially. What makes it really bad is the fact, that I was building a new base in creative mode for the last one or two weeks. I hope there will be a solution soon.
I'll see, what I can do.. Can't post a blueprint, since it has not been saved as one. This is what I get now on loading any save game after hitting "continue", my base doesn't appear or sometimes only partially. The console shows the following error The next time I load the save game, no message appears, but also no structure.. This is SP on Reforged Eden.
I can only see one of your attachments. Do you remember what Reforged specific blocks you had added to the base? Things like maybe a quantum CPU extender, etc?
Just corrected the post. About the blocks, I am not sure. But there is no quantum CPU extender. On the other hand, my cv spawns ok with all modifications I made before. Just one thought.. could it be, because there are 2 bases? My old one, I used for a long time, and the one I am creating now. Both are affected, but not the cv.
Seams, I get this with all save games. Also with those where I did not even start creating the new base. So the offending item or whatever must also be part of the base, for which I posted the bp.
I seem to be unable to place deconstructors now. When I try to place one, I get one of the internal error popups, the decon disappears from my hotbar, and no decon spaws in. If I reload a save where I have attempted to place one, it now shows up where placed, but does not work (I get the prompt to press f when my cursor is over it, but that does nothing, also the access button in the P menu does nothing), and if I have a structure selected in my hotbar, the green highlight appears indicating I can place items in the same space occupied by the decon.
Thank you so much for the blueprint! Using it I was able to narrow down the problem to the deconstructor and the new recipes added. There is a fix now in Reforged Eden that should allow you to spawn your blueprint now. I don't know if it will fix any existing structures in a save game though.
This is now fixed as of a few minutes ago. You might have to restart Steam or wait for Steam to properly sync, however.
Looks like it is working now. Only those save games I loaded this morning are no longer useable. The others do load correctly with all structures. Thanks again
Hi, I'm very early game and have taken over some wreckage as my initial camp. I've not placed a Core, but have just built up the wreckage directly so the local hostile critters cannot get to me. I was going to place a door - unpowered of course - and noticed the requirements were beyond me at that moment as I could not craft a Motor. Of course, it wasn't long before I could craft one, but it got me thinking about a potential additional L-Class Block - a manual door. We have an S-Class one and an L-Class one would be good for when doing lowtech builds / forts like I've done. Basically, I want a cheap door lol. Btw: things have been tweaked evidently since I last played and mining is far less frustrating. The Survival Tool still sucks of course, which is fine, but the Mechanical Drill is now a decent step up, whereas it was a bit too slow previously in my view. I feel vulnerable and exposed early-game, this is GOOD Edit: One more thing. The Mechanical Drill has the tendancy to remove terrain below the player, rather than where it's pointing if the player is looking down even slightly. For example, I'm looking down between 20 and 25 degrees to exavate a tunnel to a resource deposit. However, the Drill is removing the terrain directly below me rather than infront and slightly below me. The Survival Tool, albeit very slow, will excavate a nice sloping tunnel at this angle, yet the Mechanical Drill will excavate a death hole lol. Edit 2: Got to say, I'm a few (well, more than a few!) hours in to a fresh start with RE and I'm really liking the balance changes vs. when I last played. I feel like I'm working for things, but not grinding, which is a huge achievement. Also, I'm loving the super fast attack Drones, the only problem is they crash sooo far away when shot down due to their speed. Does the attack strength ramp up? I'm getting four and the moment and while my initial defences struggled a little - and I had trouble hitting them with the AR - I'm coping better now. Scoob.
