Is there any way, we can increase resource gain from all sources for some multiplier? Currently the game is approximately at the gring level of Conan Exiles. Comparing to other games(exchange time to resources in order to build something), it should be like 5-8x more. So, is there any way?

What settings are you on? Vanilla? Modded server?

One of the more versed members will be along shortly and explain how the files can probably be tweaked. But I am curious as to what you are struggling to collect?

In vanilla even the laser drill is fast, and then stepping up to an SV miner/CV turret/CV laser makes drilling extremely fast. Also, what are you trying to build?

I am trying to craft a lot of ammo for my 86-turret 5x-320k containers CV without cheating lol Spent dozen of hours of asteroid mining already to fill it up. I analyzed how fast I spend ammo, so it seems after destroying a couple of Xeno ships I'll have to refill. It means, that during the battle I spend resources approximately 10-15 times faster, than gather them back using whatever method you can choose. And of course I know the fastest way of resource mining - it is SV miner on a Small moon. CV is nothing close to it, despite how it seems. Yes CV take large patches of asteroids in space, and all you got is mostly stone, Yes it gives you more resources than planetary meteorites, but you end up traveling huge distances from one asteroid to another, so again SV miner on a small moon is alot more time efficient. Still, how I said, it takes huge amount of time to collect resources to participate in a decent fight.

You can always buy ammo from station services, you'll need millions in the bank for 86 turrets' worth of ammo though.

tbh I try to avoid trading, because it is absolutely unbalanced and exploitable. Gathering more resources is not as cheating as spending millions I made from selling pentaxid for 250 credits after buying it for 32 credits at the same station lol. It has too much issues, so no, I'll avoid it ;) But I agree if the trade is balanced - buying ammo is a good alternative.

I found a dedicated CV miner with max laser drills to be far more efficient at mining than an SV miner on a planet.

Really? Needs double check then. I have landed on a planet with 3 resources I need, so meteorites drop non-stop. Fly from one meteorite to another is like 30 seconds - 1 minute. Mining a meteorite is approximately 5 minutes. I receive approximately 450 Pentaxid/900 other ores per meteorite. So it makes ~ 2.5 ore per second or 9000 Ore per hour. Can you share your calculations?

I have no experience with meteorites, so I am not sure if that is something I personally would rely completely on. But if you have one location that has them consistently, then I would just roll with those.

I have never kept specific numbers, but I have found that the easiest method is to warp to a sun, check all the planets/belts, locate the ores I need, then warp to that planet. With a mining turret I can mine out an asteroid in about 5 or so minutes, so Id guess 2-3k ore in. I then have my on board constructors turning the extra stone into iron/copper/silicon.

In Vanilla, I usually choose a CV that has at least 4 mining lasers, and I can clean out an asteroid in a bit faster than when using the turret, id say around 3-4 minutes. But dont have the hassle of jumping into and out of a turret.

I have a dedicated mining CV I use in a Reforged Eden scenario that has 20 CV mining lasers, so that 5 minutes is more like 1 minute at most. So I spend far more time flying from asteroid to asteroid than I do actually mining. I am well aware that 20 lasers may not be allowed on each and every server or instance depending on how its set up.

I mine asteroids only when I pass by. That travel distance between asteroids makes all the difference. And just as an example when you need a resource like erestrum to fill up stocks... go find so much asteroids in space lol

I guess each persons experience is different, which is part of what makes EGS awesome, there is more than one way to an end goal. I find warping from system to system, checking the main map to see what is around, flying to a field and mining what I need (while hitting other asteroids on the way) and then getting a ton all at once to be more efficient than flying around a planet and dealing with various sized ground ores, wrestling with a mining SV, and then moving on to be slower and more tedious.

Anyway, I am sure there is a way to mess with the files somehow to increase how much ore is in each one.

Fortunately I haven't found all those exploits yet. Although I never buy and sell, I just sell excess resources from my mines.

But yes, it would be great for it to be balanced out properly. What you describe there is a very cheaty exploit that should not happen.

Yes! Mess with files, that is what I like lol

They just needed a cost formula from Satisfactory. That is all. How it works there: Every raw material has its cost, the material crafted from raw material is twice as expensive. third material crafted from the second one is again, multiplied by two. So when we have complex materials with several crafting tiers their cost goes high. No need to to play with manual costs.

Something similar to this has been implemented in the Reforged Galaxy/Eden mods. Materials have a base cost, and stuff made from those materials add it up, then tack on an increase. Makes the economy quite a bit more "realistic".

yeah, it was a good step on the way to make economy realistic and balanced. But they just summed up all ingredients without consideration of the energy spent to craft an item, time needed and if it needs advanced constructor instead of the small one. If they will consider alli this, it will be second decent step. But tbh I prefer mentioned multipliers to be used in calculations too, to let players earn some money, not millions, but something to live ;)

Oh, absolutely, I would love the economy to get fleshed out. I would like to see some real reason to have money other than ship repairs. Mods that can only be purchased, special turreds/devices that cant be crafted, stuff like that. As it stands, I normally only need a bit of money early on to buy some drill charges or multitool charges and perhaps a quick station repair or two.
