Would it be possible to maybe make the Turrets shoot at slightly different times instead of all at once because it gets kind of annoying and loud and doesn't feel like what actual turrets would do. Also could they target different enemy turrets/thrusters/generators/etc...

    Welcome to the forum mate.
You can group the turrets then assign the different groups to shoot at different targets.

Yup, in the device menu select the turret you want, then at the top of the menu you will see a + sign to add a new group. You can then add other turrets to it.

My current CV has all the different types of turrets in their own groups. This allows me to turn off some turrets if I want to conserve ammo/reduce DPS, assign them to different targets, and keep track of battle damage.

You can group all of the devices on your ship this way. When done, if your ship is in good repair make sure you save the template.

Not sure I follow are you saying that I can configure the turrets so they don't simultaneously fire?

No mate. My post was purely about grouping the turrets, so that they can shoot at different things you have assigned to each group.

I'm not sure how the turrets fire or how to stop the firing simultaneously. All depends on how its been programmed.

Is there any way to get turrets to work on Planets? I have Reforged Eden on and alot of planets have cool Zirax ships with lasers on them and all I have are Cannons and Miniguns which are to me kinda lame. because my CV has alot of Laser and Plasma turrets I can't even use.

There is a way of making them fire on planets, but you have to alter the config files.
There is a thread on the forum on what file to alter and what to do.
Have a search. I will see if I can find it as well.

Ok, I can't find the thread.

Go into your files and find the Config_Example.efc file, (mine is at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Configuration)

Open up the file and do a search for the turrets you want to alter.
Below is a bit for the minigun turret

{ Item Id: 2157, Name: TurretMSMinigunWeapon
    StackSize: 500
Mass: 6120, type: float, display: false, formatter: Kilogram
    Category: Weapons/Items
    {
    AllowAt: "Space,Planet"
ROF: 0.2, type: float, display: true, formatter: ROF
    Range: 485, display: false
    RangeSpace: 785, display: false
    Automatic: true
    Damage: 425, display: true
    AmmoCapacity: 300, display: true
    AmmoType: 15mmBullet, display: true

As you can see, the AllowAt: is set to "Space,Planet"

Find the turrets you want to alter and change the AllowAt to what you want.

Always make a backup of any files you are going to alter, just in case you need to revert back to the original file.

I'm sure if any of the above is incorrect then someone will let us know.
