So have you seen Spanj's new video? New explosion distribution system is a joke. Explosion from own devices is such a strong, you can lose the whole ship by chain reaction. Almost all blueprints are now flying nukes lol If it stays like that total reconstruction of all ships is needed. What do you think?
Spanjs video is about the "Reforged Galaxy" and "Reforged Eden" szenarios and not about the vanilla game.
Just to add to @Alhira_K post above, if you listen to Spanjs video he actually says that the explosions work properly in Vanilla 1.4.
As someone with eight weeks into a coop game in a reforged Eden I can a) confirm that the current drop turns every CV we've brought into the game (mostly jrandall's work) are now bombs waiting for the wrong shot to turn them into confetti and b) getting pushed mandatory updates sucks when you've got any investment in anything beyond the stateless content of the vanilla game.
I think that either you did not saw the video from start to end or either you luck basic comprehension skills, maybe because English is not your mother language, or either you try to spread false information inuending stuff on purpose for your personal amusement. What do you think?

I don't think he's a "troll". While I admit myself falling for it sometimes, we always have to remind ourselves that we don't see the face and we don't hear the tone. Someone can be dead laughing while writing down something, and the message will be interpreted by people as being written out of anger. That is just one example. Sometimes in real life we can say the worst of things in a humorous manner or tongue-in-cheek, and everyone laughs or smiles, but in text it's always complicated to try to do the same without a ton of smileys (which just cheese out all the right intents)... .
Sure, that is a major issue. It is hard to judge by the writing only. Major part of our communication, pitifully transfered over mimic, eyes, the tone and so on. i.e. emotions. There are a lot of scientific researches about how much our languages are imperfect atm That is why I just try to avoid judging persons in my conversations. I know I replied in the same manner to him, but tbh that was an exclusion, and I was a little on emotions. Of course it is better to split the topic and the person.

You are correct about this. Now, do we agree that there differencies between vanilla and the scenario that might be chaged? Hint : Read video's comments. So relax, everything is going to be ok Personaly I havent tested the new changes on explosion yet, but from what I see they are more close to reality, I assume. Well build and secured compartments will sustain damage and those parts that are poorly built jsut dumping various components one close to the other, will be affected by destruction explosions of one device only. Also this change is introduced and I believe the developers will take note of players' reacitons and might tune it down a bit. So those who want that to happen better go writte something in the proper thread instead of opening a new one.

But who the hell plays the vanilla game anymore? Just about every ship build now is for Reforged or Project Eden. The vanilla game had it's day a very long time ago
I play both vanilla and various scenarios....I test things first in vanilla and then in those scenarios. Then before spreading panic with your threads wait for the scenario update with patience.
