This is not a bug report; it is a query to see if a problem is occurring for other server admins/players, and perhaps to troubleshoot it. Have not played the game for several months. Got active again a few days ago, and logged into my favorite server: HotB Gaming's "Reforged Eden PvEvP+CPU+WT . . ." I like this server because it runs my favorite scenario (Reforged Eden) and because it uses the scenario how it was intended (CPU and Mass volume restrictions active). Also the dude who runs it is chill. I was making good progress on my Ningues start: had commandeered the Damaged Hoverbike and modified it to have a pressurized cabin. Went to Polaris trade station, parked the HV in the station's garage and logged out after a bit. When I logged back in, the HV was no where to be found. As you can see it is not in the Registry either So I mentioned this to Paraodx Penguin (the server owner/admin) and what he basically reported was that, This has been happening incessantly on his EGS servers. I doubt he has done a bug report on this, and I'm not even sure if Eleon troubleshoots bugs if they occur with modified Scenarios like Reforged Eden. My hunch is: the common factor are (a) player not in vehicle, if not also (b) vehicle not docked on player BA or CV and possibly (c) vehicle in vicinity of a modified POI. Has any other player or server/admin experienced this problem on a recurring basis either with Reforged, Eden or some other scenario or even vanilla? Perhaps there are some log files that might trace back what has happened?
It's been a common issue since a12. I've seen it less since 1.4, but that could also just be because our player base tanked thanks to all the SV and CV bugs that weren't fixed. Hard to play when ships just disappear or fly away on their own.
2500 hours with this game, and it is still a love-hate thing that has yet to culminate in achieving "End Game" win. In its current state, I don't think I'm going to try.
It exists as an issue ticket https://empyriononline.com/threads/base-sinking-into-ground.97143/unread Some ideas in there as to how one might diagnose/troubleshoot.
