I noticed that a choice menu was added to the NPC traders. I thought that was great at first but as I have seen all it adds is some random text. Nothing useful. I think that it may be a good idea to have choices I don't think that listening to random text is one of them. I would love it if I could just go up to a trader and start trading rather than to have to scroll and choose the trade option.
Agreed. It feels like a placeholder for some future content that may be coming down the line at some point. But as of right now it is just an added click, that in and of itself seems quite minor in the grand scheme of things, but is an annoyance.
I agree with @ChumSickle and that is does look more like a place holder at the moment. Maybe it's also intended to help out modders of the game, to add more story line/options to their mods. It's only one extra click so not that much hassle.
For someone with RSI, one more click is enough to make you want to puke. It's easier to hit the ESC key, but then again even that may not be right. I assume the old use of #1 #2 etc is workable, ala Leusire Suit Larry style. ....I'm assuming it requires traders config and change elsewhere to remove it? Hope it's not a lot of work to publish a modified version of Vanilla with it off? Anyone know the art of these magic runes? (I'm happy to help, but am tired of doing searches.)
Well maybe they could open highlighted the trade option when that menu comes up so all you have to do is click on it. Rather than scroll through and select it. That way players that just want to trade and others can select the less used options if they want.
Dont wanna be so negative but... everything in this game is a placeholder. The skilltree, the loot, the progression, the balance, the story, the "lategame",...
Does anyone know the config runes? Happy to give it a smash if someone can give hints. /edit, looks like you have to edit the POI's, is there a underlying theory how this all should be done, or is it just trial and error?
So this means I would need to add all the affected POI's to my scenario? I've never done that kind of thing before, sounds like a tonne of work. Or am I as usual overthinking the time cost?
Shall plan that route. Will have to give it a try next weekend, this week is busy as it's a demo week for me.
