Hmm this things a bit big to dock to anything other than a BA I made. I did notice though some of my other builds to do seem to freeze up on lift off. Not even docked. Games not froze just no response on ship moving. If I wait about 15 seconds it will move. Not game breaking just a bit annoying. Always figured was high triangle counts loading but could be lcd as my builds always have more than 5
There may be other factors involved, I don't know. My CVs are not affected, presumably because they don't dock. My docked HVs don't appear to be affected as I have one w/ 10 active LCD projectors and no problem. What I DO know is MY docked SV will not lift off with more than 4 active LCDs and I get a CoQ every time I try. For all I know, I'm the only one experiencing this.
Turn off the LCDs that contains sprites and formatting text in the same LCD. I might be wrong about the exact circumstances but there is a unity package bug involved here.
I'll look into that. Thanks. I just tried your suggestion. It turns out I DID have one LCD with a sprite, but no text. I deleted the sprite, replaced it with text and activated it along with all the others. A successful lift-off from docked and no CoQ. Still, it's a sad state of affairs. I fully understand there are limitations here as in all things. Doesn't make it any better knowing that. Thanks for the clarification. Upon further investigation, I added sprites to 2 of the 8 LCDs on one of my HVs. With all LCDs active ther was no CoQ and it undocked without any problem.

Current work in progress. It's a faction Ark. Essentially a massive cv that perma docks to your base and stores everything. 80+ 320k bins that you can move to a new system if you want. Now the fun part. The reason for the lcd is this uses ASTICS script mod. Every bin is labeled and displays the contents. But there as also an auto sort system that if you just dump your payload into 1 sorting bin the ship will start converting ore to ingots and parts to raw materials then distribute to the proper bin location. Also has cold storage for the food. Still a work in progress but the sorting system mostly done. Need to set up bin that will also pull any available inventory to be used for constructor. No more searching. Ark is just the thing on top of base. Had to build there to get size right
Today (like too many other days) I have forgotten how something works in EGS. In this instance, I have forgotten how to activate "Drill Mode" where by the pitch angle is fixed and the drills continue to operate w/o holding down the button. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative.

You might add that line to your Log Book too: When your HV is in the fixed drill mode, you can now use W/A/S/D, the arrow keys and the mouse to precisely navigate. In addition, pressing LMB while in the fixed drill model will enable auto mode of your drills so you do not need to keep LMB pressed

Yeah, this is an impressive thread. Today in Empyrion I worked on a Orbital thingy. Only got about 30% finished. It is hard to build POI's that will not have a direct function like a dungeon/base or a ship of some kind.
