In the Empyriopedia I read about NPC faction reputation > Credibility Seals: "You can earn seals by completing CREDIBILITY MISSIONS" What is this about, is this in the game? Thanks,
Seems it's a "not quite finished" feature. If you do certain missions (like for the Talon, etc) you can be awarded a 'Credibility Seal' which allows you to repair your reputation with that Faction (like if you screw up and kill a Faction member or attack one of their POI's). Missions are accessed from the F1 key (PDA), then click Solo Missions at the top and choose a Faction. Follow the prompts and what your PDA instructs at the bottom, when you go certain places and do assigned tasks you move forward through the Mission. When you complete, you get rewards, one of those is the Seal. (Pro Tip: PAY ATTENTION when the PDA tells you something as it's NOT repeated and NOT logged where you can re-read it!!) To use the Seal you must go to a Trader Booth located on a Trading POI in space. There are certain Traders (Aliens, not the Booth) that now show the Seals for the various Faction, but at present you can't buy or sell them, I think it's planned in the future. Note that the Seals cannot be used beyond fixing a really bad rep, you can't use multiple Seals to advance your rep to 'Honored' for example. (At least not yet, as I said it's not fully finished as a feature).
Thank you very much, Thor'sHammer, I very appreciate your feedback Using a seal will get me to Neutral again, so to improve further (for example with the Colonists) I need to hunt animals in their territory.
To use a Credibility seal find a GIN console (Galactic Information Network) and use the "Ambassadors" button. The GIN consoles are found in all "official" trading stations on ground and in space. They are blew and have a marker. (sry, typing on mobile, cannot add a screenshot .. )
They're taking out the News? That's a shame, it was funny, but it should have changed from time to time and that would be a pain to keep up with. Thanks for filling in the GIN info, I couldn't remember it's name. You're welcome, good hunting. Spiders make the most delicious Steaks ...
