    Description: As a response to the retest thread that I cannot post in, issue still persist for me on the server. Not so much that grass and deco is missing, but still have issues with the terrain chunks not appearing correctly for some POIs. See pictures below

    I will confirm this in default-vanilla SinglePlayer also, I have had a giant chunk of terrain (quadratisch) missing a couple times (yes you can fall into it and break a leg, kinda severe :D).
    sorry no pic currently, will make one next time.

    ... must say is kind of hard to see in that pic

    The Issue with that is that the Devs have found no reliable way to reproduce this randomly happening effect.
    I reported this Hole in the Ground several times since A8.X

    am actually wondering if it could be influenced by game-seeds (sometimes no problems)

    I don't think so. With about 6.500hours of testing time and app. 800 Game starts I could not find those 'gaps' in each map, with always changing Seeds, but only very randomly.

    Might be a "normals" problem when having rooms underground, since players can look at the ground from "under" it (tunnels, basements).

    "Normals" is the vector pointing away perpendicular to a face, to where an observer can see the polygon/ face. It happens that normal can be inverted and points in the opposite direction (faces have only 1 side rendered).

    Something to try when this happens could be to flatten/ modify the terrain at the boundary of the tile/ chunk that has a missing "up" face and move towards that missing face with the tool, to see if it makes the face appear.

    About a week ago I 'flattened' a Hillside of which Parts were 'missing'. I slept in my Base and the next morning the Hole was there in the same spot...and I flattened it again. Every time flattening/drilling closed the Gap.

    Maybe related to half-blocks/ pillars in the ground somewhere on the base ? The base pivot ? I know pivot makes fuzzy things with terrains sometimes...

    What happens if you save the game after flattening (face is ok) and you reload the game ?

    Edit : forgot to mention why I refer to "normals" : in the cache folder of the savegame, alongside with the huge terrain .raw map, there is a "normals.dat" file over 2mb in size, which must be the normals for all the faces on the terrain.

    I feel like you guys are talking about a different problem (missing triangles you fall through). This pictures shows that the terrain here is like a "hole", with a "wall" of land outside a range of the structure. I can verify this is very repeatable in my scenario in MP every time.

    Have you used the clear pivot command on your POIs?

    20210525233450_1.jpg Attaching another picture for reference. Yes, I have used clear pivot, filler blocks, other things, all of it doesn't change this. Over time it'll eventually stop, it always happens immediately after starting the server.

    Ok so I got a theory...
    it seems to me that worlds with missing/corrupt chunks also have orerocks/plants that turn un- harvestable/minable...
    orerocks/plants that turn un- harvestable/minable seem to be associated with [Shape: ModelEntity] in the ecf files.
    maybe it could be a loading-sequence problem (i.e. timing is everything)...
    might be worth considering.
