New SV is coming along nicely. I did some minor rework on the rear thruster area and I think it looks a bit better now. Also set up a tray to go between the pincers in front to either hold a warp drive or another small vehicle. I mocked up a small cargo/production HV to fit. Building the tray even out of carbon puts it just a little over T1 CPU so I'm pushing the limits here.
is there a way to remove radiation from a specific planet? either through console or the config files?
It's defined in the playfield_dynamic.yaml (templates) either in a specific biome definition, or at the top of the file in the general playfield's characteristics. The specific biome's "effects" are defined in the playfield_static.yaml in the "SpecialEffectsGlobal" section (ex. radiated fog). ------------------------------------------------------------ You can also use the following console command (if radiation is not defined for the whole playfield) : help weather (to see a list of commands parameters) weather info (to see all weather effects available) example: weather clear (will trigger the clear skies weather) For status effects : help statuseffect (lists available commands) statuseffect -ram (removes all status effects from player) -------------------------------------------------------------- Apart from that, if you're in the middle of a game (saved game) I don't think you can change the playfield's characteristics without breaking the savegame. I need to check if we can change some of the templates options in a savegame, which may work for unloaded playfields, but may not for loaded (visited) playfields, because of the generated "cache" content. You can also modify some of the radiation effects in the StatusEffects.ecf so one radiation immunity shot protects you for a very long time, then get some syringes with console command. You can try editing the config file in your savegame folder and see if this works.
@JusZi I like how the bridge sort of swoops back on the carrier. The ship next to it looks good too. Nice shaping on the nose.
@bluemax151 - Thanks for the suggestion regarding the texture symbol reversal. I tried removing all texturing and symbols and then re-applying, but that didn't work. Even tried deleting the blocks and putting in fresh ones, but the symbols still came out backwards :-(. Gonna report it as a bug, but not a big deal ...
Finished the glass roof and the new upstairs floors: some texturing still to be done: perhaps another floor?
I was thinking about converting a SV to a CV but ran into an issue. Did the devs patch the game so that you can no longer copy/clone an build by copying over the data in the Shared folder?
I have been playing the game since 2016 and never knew you could use the prefabinfo command that way. Thank you, it gave an odd message but it worked. Now to replace all the blocks using the replaceblocks command and strip all of the SV devices out and replace them with CV devices. Debating widening it out so I can add a hanger door and if it can look good after making the transition, but I have a project for a few days. Thank you again.

I know that it's a little early to have a CV when you get to the TOP Distillery, but I always enjoy watching the anti-personnel guns on the underside of a Barracuda chewing the bad guys to shreds while I hide behind a crate...
I just tested it, it worked. But you still need to strip it of all CV devices and use the replaceblocks command to replace the large blocks with small ones.
Today I had a very pleasant surprise. I was contacted by another player about the modifications he made to one of my builds.
