Headline issue Cases (seed dependant) of Infinite load screens with 100% GPU usage forever on Scenario startup. Hopes for answer (limited): The Following may be a 'feature' , however i would still like an idea of a workaround that would retain a random Generted Galaxy for my 'Soliquy of Reason' Start - but allow my Grahh start to work with maybe a fixed seed. I appreciate that this is only an issue with my scenario... so not that important however if there is a simple syntax i can use (maybe playfiield in the sectors file) to solve this or possibly some thing seed related i can put into my Grahh (Tarik_Core_Swampy) Playfield_static file i would appreciate some feedback. The Issue I have attached a Scenario .zip file as it is the best way to show the issue - which is 100% reproduceable. I have a Scenario with two possible starts : 1. 'Soliquy of Reason' Start ---- 2. Grahh - Freestyle Start these starts are in different Playfields. For the 'Grahh - freestyle Start' i seem to have two behaviors (Seed Dependant) - The first Evertything genertes ok on Start (Seed Example 673139) - The 2nd behaviour The Program goes into Infinite Load Loop on Startup using 100% Graphics card resources. (Seed Example 181148) However : If i start the Game in 'Soliquy of Reason' Start (with the 'bad' seed 181148 say), and use a fixed portal to travel to Grahh -- then the Planet/playfield genertes ok even with the 'bad' seed. This i find really odd given the Start behaviour for Grahh This is really odd inconsistent behaviour -- i really would love a workaround that means i can have general randoem seed generation for my first scenario option -- and maybe a fixed seed ro my grahh option? i have tried placing Seed = 673139 in the Grahh playfield static (Tarik_Core_Swampy) but that seems to be overwritten by the general seed set at the selection screen. How to Reproduce the Problem: I have Attached my scenario development (catchily named xxx_development when unzipped) 1. Sucess/Failure of Grahh - Freestyl;e start scenario Set the seed in the startup selection screen to (673139 - good start) or (181148 - bad start) Select 'Freestyle - Grahh' scenario start option 2. Success - Portal from 'Soliquy of reason' Start to Grahh (with 'bad' seed 181148) Set the seed in the startup selection screen to (181148 - bad start) Select 'Soliquy of reason' scenario start option Teleport (using tt on map) to [UCH] Xeno-Archeology Institute POI Take the 'Hippodrome' Portal on the Right to Grahh (this loads ok - unlike if the Grahh - Freestyle ' start is selected.
==================================================== Ok Its Time for me to Eat Humble Pie --I found the Problem I had Two POIs with the same Groupname - Identical exceps - One with a spawner and one didn't. Soo really sorry if i wasted anyones time.... However since if empyrion Can't find a Spawner it USes 100% GPU Resources forever or untill the process is killed i suspect that is something that ought to be prevented (though admitedly should never happen in the released Standard Game.)
