Hello guys It is a long time I am playing Empyrion with no problems But this time I do need help I play solo without EAC and this morning I reloaded a recent cm save I build a new sv without problem saved it but later on, close to leave the game, I had a suprise: the console window popup without being asked I realized that moving the mouse was the issue ... strange I change the mouse for the one I am using with the portable pc, same result I switch the mouse to an other USB , same Checked the game files under steam, no problems I took a copy of my saves, uninstalled empyrion and steam common redistributables Did a reinstall of both after a steam cache delete (steam's std tool) and no change when the mouse is moved left or right the console shows up funny thing is that a mouse up or down move does not cause the problem and using an xbox one controller does not either (but I never played this game with it and feel uncomfortable) I even run a deep scan of all my drives with avast with no suspect file found Is it a known problem? Am I the only one with the issue? Does anyone have a turn around or an idea of what to check? Thanks in advance for your reply (sorry for my bad english, it is not my mother tongue)
Never heard about that happening. Try to put all keyboard and mouse commands to default and try again. The default command for the console is the 'tilde' key, but depending on your keyboard language you need to re-assign this default key to the LEFT ONE FROM YOUR '1' KEY which I did with my Swiss keyboard and I never had any problem. And do not double-assign this key.
thanks for the reply i have a french logitech keyboard, means it is an azerty, so aqzw keys must be changed the ~ key is on altgr+2 so i did change it for */µ physical key: * i use a steelseries rival 600 mouse which does use the standard windows 10 drivers i swap it for a logitech m500 during the tests and it also use the windows 10 drivers but i never add any problems before with this config i will reset to the default key and search for an upgrade of the windows drivers and tell what happens
no change alas the bug appears directly on the main menu so it is probably not linked to a saved game but in the console i have a yellow message: Main Camera cannot be found. GPU Instancer needs either an existing camera with the "Main Camera" tag on the scene to autoselect it, or a manually specified camera. If you add your camera at runtime, please use the "GPUInstancerAPI.SetCamera" API function. perhaps this error triggers the console
Are your Windows OS Regional Settings set properly, there is an icon in the taskbar for the the keyboard language, have you set it to your language (French)?
and i do believe I had it in the past too, when everything was running ok it is set to french (france) by default (fun is i am belgian lol) It would be really nice if a dev would help me, i have all the log ready and ready to do more checks but in the mean time thanks for your help guys I really enjoy this game and have more then 2k hours on it, lot of published workshop items too otherwise i will have to play using a controller use of witch i am not confident at all (and so it may end to an uninstall, pityfull)

I found a solution from a very old post where one of us assigned the mmb button to the console lol: did it and ... it works Thanks for your help guys, in return i have a small joke for you (before writing the joke, known that policemen are very nice peoples and they spontaneously help me i the past in different countries) "Do you know why we still have horse mounted policemen?
