i think it will be so fun if they add settlement like no man's sky last update if we can build our crew and build our settlement it will be more fun Where the settlers can help us mining and build and defends And if the settlers can can ride in a small vessel
Well, it's more an RPG/FPS game than a city building game... *But* that doesn't mean there couldn't be some elements of that which fould fit the other gameplay. For example, some kind of "companion" mechanic would be nice. You could meet NPC that would join and follow you as companions, perhaps as part of a mission outcome. They could then help you in fights and maybe some other special things. Could work something like the companion mechanic in Outer Realms or how you setup a team in Mass Effect. Obviously, the number of these companions would have to stay within "reasonable" limit. Alternatively, or perhaps in addition to the more personal NPC companions, you could hire NPC crew that would be more "static" in how they affect the game play. Visually they could be like the "decorative crew" blocks but they would have actual real function. For example, you could assign them to various tasks in your base or ship, like gunning a turret or tending the gardens. They would then give some bonus to the tended device (more accurate firing, increased damage, etc.) or they would automate some repetitive player task (picking up crops when they have grown and delivering them to assigned storage, etc.). Other possibility could be working as guards similar to how the security in the trade stations work: they patrol a given area and attack any hostiles they spot (predators, base attacking ground troops, drones etc.) That would definitely make it feel more alive while still keeping it within the vision and scope of the intended game.
I think it would be a good idea as long as it isn't an essential part of the game and doesn't become a nuisance micromanaging task. Example: Fallout 4. Personally, I liked the settlement building mechanic in Fallout 4 but my main complaint is that the radiant settlement defense quests got really annoying after a while. Optional settlement quests would be cool but I just don't want to be flying all over the galaxy rescuing settlers who can't take care of themselves. It might be cool to have settlers who can auto repair structures or ships if they get damaged. At the very least, I would like for crew members to do something other than stand there and look pretty. Maybe reduce CPU load or building soldiers could increase weapon damage or something.
yes like no man's sky and fallout 4 because in fallout and no man's sky if you have settlement it will help you make things faster like money craft stuff more cargo room but also if you don't build it nothing change. you still play the game
that nothing to do if the game is rpg or not fallout is about story rpg game and still have settlement and also no man's sky is rpg game and they have settlement
Some type of 'Settlers' are already in the Game - as the Civilian-like Faction termed Colonists. Crew may come in the Future - how and when no clue.
Yes but no but yes but... No way like the games mentioned above. I'd definitely like to be able to interact a bit more with some settlements and factions but wouldn't want anything too complicated. I'll give it a think
when i say settlement i mean my own settlement. my own colony/city that i must provide them food and secure against any threat i don't mean ai settlers like this
who told you it must be complicated. did you even try to build settlement in fallout 4 and no man's sky!. it is easy as ****. it's not something that is necessary what i mean by it's not necessary is that if you build settlement it will increase your output resources/food/ships but you also must protect your settlement. if you don't build the settlement it will not change anything you still can play the game and grow. so if they add settlement update it will not change the game it will be an optional like fallout 4 and no man's sky you can finish the game and have all the weapons and resources without the settlement
Nothing keeps you from taking those colonists 'over' and core the Settlements. The Civilians inside will not care. As you are so willing to point at other games as examples how you would like to have it... You are aware that ELEON can not just copy what was achieved there, yes(copyrights...)? So they would have to find a complete different way for it to make it happen. Btw., as you have the idea for it why not start to build that stuff in creative and offer it to be implemented into the game so it can be looked upon and eventually be added - because the Devs will not do it for you.
I think you still don't know what build settlement mean. building core in ai settlement will not make it settlement because they can't mining for me build and do other works. they are just normal npc for (copyright) no it will not be copyright because it's main feature not just for no man's sky .fallout have it .ark have it. It's like you're saying you can't make fps game that is copyright because cod is fps game. for the videos i'm referring to the videos to show you examples of easy and simple settlement
I understand you think it would b super cool to reproduce other games mechanics on EGS... Respectful but I believe it wouldn't be so, just my opinion. I'd rather have the devs work in another direction.
