So - when using teleports - we jump "INTO THE BLIND" (!) We don’t know WHERE, and IN WHAT DIRECTION (!)

After several jumps through the trading stations, I realized that I had moved away from my home Star ... VERY FAR ... in 233 light years (!)

    upload_2021-12-8_23-29-45.png

And now it is IMPOSSIBLE to return home (!) Because I do not know in which direction I am jumping = CLOSING to the home star, or REMOVING (??? !!!)

    This is CRITICAL (!)
There are no magic commands to transport me to my home star system (!)
All commands that are in the game or on the server - operate ONLY INSIDE THE SYSTEM ... therefore - an urgent need to develop the functionality of returning home (!)

    So I suggest:

    1) in the list of stations for teleportation - in the line with the name of the Star system -> add distance (15 light years from the star where I am now) -> + ADD LABELS "+/- 233 light years"
    where:
    - 233 light years = shows how far this star is from its home star, in which any of my structures are located (ship / base marked "HOME"),
    - "+/- = this shows the direction" CLOSER or FURTHER "(can be made in different colors - approach = green, distance = red)

    2) add an AUTOMATIC ROUTER:
for this, in the list of points for teleportation, you need to add a "checkmark" HOME "", and then only those trading stations will be shown that I can visit (taking into account my reputation), and which will lead me to my home star system along the shortest route (! )

    ----------------------------
    Additional functionality for teleports:
In the list of stations for teleportation add:
+ time, how long ago did I visit this station on this day ?!

Actually you can only teleport to a station you already discovered ... what does "teleport into the blind" mean in that context?

(Not to speak of that UI could use some additional features - totally with you ;) )

Hello, "teleport to the blind" - I mean - I don’t know in which direction I am jumping from the station - distance, or approach from my home star ?!

in the end - I was guided only by the range, which was displayed next to the name of the system - 5 ly. .... 45 ly

and so I went very far - over 200+ light years ... and how to get back - it is not known (!)

this is called - jumping into the blind - in an unknown direction - closer or further from the home star !!!

Ah .. ok, sry misunderstood. You want to have a system tagged as "home system" or in general when opening the teleporter pad it should show the distances to where you just CAME from, right?

In the main thread, I may not have fully stated my thoughts, sorry!

I will try to tell my idea in more detail:

So - the "base star" system - should be the one in which any player's structure (base / ship) is located with the mark "HOUSE" in the control panel (!)

Then, when jumping on teleports -> in the list of star systems -> should show 2 distances (!) In the "N / D" format:
    1) "N" = (now) this is how it is now = shows the distance to neighboring star systems from that place. where the character is now.
    2) "D" = (difference) this is the distance FROM the current location of the character -> TO the star system in which the "home base or home ship" is located (!)
And also - "D" should be painted in 2 colors:
    - green "D" = this is the indicator "closer" to the "home star system" (!)
    - red "D" = this is an indicator "further" from the home star (!)

Then - when choosing a point for teleportation - the player will orientate in space = understand = after teleportation he will move away from the "home star system", or approach it (!)

It will be very useful, especially as in my case - I was jumping into the unknown - farther and farther - 10-45 light years FROM THE CURRENT LOCATION, and at the same time did not know - I was moving away from my home star, or approaching it ??! !

as a result, I got lost, and was 233 light years away from home (!) :(

I think what he wants is for teleporter destinations to show whether they are closer or further from your home spawn. So you'll be able to teleport back to your home spawn by choosing teleport destinations that show they are closer each time.

Maybe it could help to have the starter system's label view distance maxed out so it can be seen all the time in the galaxy map. This would help not only when trying to figure out travel with teleports, but also simple ship travel via the galaxy map.
