Apologies if this has been suggested already, can't find anything similar atm. Ever placed an order for a bunch of LONG build time components (e.g CPU extenders) or just a massive list of tasks for your constructor and then 10-15 sec later realise you need the last item ASAP? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to move that single item to the front, or neear the front, of the queue so you can get it without having to either wait for your entire queue to finish or having to remove ALL the items you just added from the queue and then re-input them? A simple drag and drop interface on the build queue would be AMAZING or even an queue jump feature that would pause everything else in the queue to build immediately. You could even place a small penalty on that feature by making the constructor go into an overdrive sort of mode that burns a bit more power to do it if you wanted to make the feature "undesirable" to use but would still arguably be worth the convenience. I realise that it probably wouldn't be able to move the 1st item for the same reason you can't cancel the item being currently built, though that function would be nice as well but all machines already have the ability to pause their current jobs via having power cut so the feature would only need to be extended. Sorry for the rant. Much love.
Yes, in my 1st playthrough many years ago. I just built a few more constructors, because waiting for the feature to be changed made no sense and there were plenty of resources around, way more than developers at Eleon... ^^
True, most of the time buiilding an army of constructors is often the solution. Especially now, I'm not sure when but I think they reduced the power consumption / idle consumption of many of the tools so runny an army of constructors on solar power is easy to do. However this suggestion was more for the time when you just start a run and power / resources are a little more scarce. Prime example would be when you are building your 1st base / SV.
