I believe that's where I am at, you go to the village, speak to the chief, he tells you to go to the temple of the ancients, spiders, and bad mojo. I go there, (SPOILERS) get in go down, kill all the infected, get to the one prisoner. Talk with him...now my PDA is telling me "KILL ALL the INFECTED". I talk with this prisoner, he says he is infected, and a self-destruct has been activated RUN get out quick!... Nothing happens. My PDA is still telling me to kill the infected (or something like that) but I can go back in that cell and talk with the guy again and again. What have I done wrong? I have been through the caves over and over and no one else is there? What do I do. I am playing solo, doing story mode.
Just kill everyone then manually skip to next stage if nothing happens. Some parts can be skipped without bugging the whole quest, some can't. I hate this temple : corridors are very crampy, everything has the same texture (caves) and it's very confusing to navigate visually. I get out of there in god mode directly going up... I just can't stand having huge pixels right in my face.
yeah, sorry to say I did that and then the entire tribe hated me. I'll look around some more or maybe try to skip this. I am guessing in story mode I can skip with no issues later?
I just did a very long stretch of the game by skipping lots of tasks and did not have any problem yet. I can not garantee results, so when you think of skipping any part, I recommend making a backup of your game just before proceeding, just in case...
Sounds like you skipped one step somewhere as killing 1 of the infected down in the underground should be enought to complete the step BEFORE going to the Prisoner (actually you should run into more than 1 right when leaving the ramp for the destroyed underground lab). Can you attach a screenshot of the PDA overview with the missions possible please?
