Build: 3724 Mode:Survival Mode:SP SERVER NAME:N/A SEED-ID:263723 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS:No Reproducibility:Always Severity:Minor Typeiloting HVs Summary:HVs get knocked underground crossing the world divider. Description:When piloting an HV around the world they will get thrown downward when crossing the world divider. When over land, this results in the HV immediately slamming into the ground and getting repetedly hung up on the terrain. When over water, the HV dives below the water's surface and causes lack of O2 warnings even in a sealed cockpit. The HV will actively fight you when trying to pull the nose up as well until you've made it beyond the opposite edge of the world divider. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Load any HV. 2) Proceed either east or west until you reach the world divider. 3) Observe the HV getting pushed downward as you cross it. Do not stop moving when this happens on land either - chances are you won't recover the HV if you do as it will be partially stuck in the terrain. Note: This issue also exists in the current Experimental builds as well.
No, this happens on both the normal and exp release. I just figured now was as good a time as any to file it while I was thinking about it. I don't tend to use HVs much beyond the beginning part of the game.
This has actually been a thing for a while, and I thought it had already been reported? It may be one kind of hover thruster that does it. Was your HV made with the "all in one" hover engines, or the more advanced ones?
It happens with both hover engines, any thruster configuration. To reproduce make and HV, fly over water and cross the world border.
The one I was driving last night uses the Ground Repulsor Engine, but it also happens with HVs that have the better engines on them too. It also makes no difference how many thrusters it has.
