During my brief exploration of Empyrion Galatic Survival I have come to a number of conclusions and I would like to run them by you all and illicit your opinion.

    1. The galaxy, or universe, I'm not sure how we quantify it, is immense and it is impossible to visit all the systems (solar systems) of any one game.

    2. The universes are randomly generated and therefore differ from game to game.

    3. The starting systems and those immediately nearby are not in any to the colored empire spheres (Badlands, Zirax, Polaris, etc.).

    4. When you bring up the universe on the map, you only see systems within a close proximity of the system you are currently in. Other systems will become visible as you progress in a certain direction.

    5. Some systems may or may not apply to the story line or quests.

    6. My final conclusion regards bases. (1) You can be a nomad and always take everything with you. (2) Have one base and not venture far. Seems like one could almost months of real time just visiting the initial systems. And (3) Leave a string of bases and just going wherever.

    1. yes it is immens but you can visit all systms but it nd a lot of time ^^

    2. if you use the same seed you get the same Galaxy

    3. cause i didn't played vanilla since ~ Alpha 8 , i can't give a propper answer but while the positions of terretories and the Starter system are fix
you can simple check in the galaxy map , it should be ever the same position for starter system and teeretorie spheres.

    4. all the little stars in the background are star-systems , but the name-Tag will fade with distance to the Cam-Anchor

    5. Can't tell neever played the storry ^^ , but cause they can make quests that reffer to just a specific type of planet , or simple add spawner for quest related Structures to dynamic planet's .

    6. (1) Yes no Problem (2) depend's on how far away the rare needet materials , can happen that you need to jump a little bit further to get for example Zascosium or Erestrum (3)In my Opinion the easyest way .

Thanks Captain. Exactly the response I was looking for. I'd really like to hear more from other experienced players.

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. Yes, although I suspect it can maybe be altered via one of the game files.
    4. Yes
    5. Yes, there's only a handful of systems related to the story at the moment
    6. Yes. I usually play 1 for a while until I can find a planet I like and then settle down and explore the surrounding systems

You can freely move the camera to anywhere in the galaxy and see star names anywhere.
