Yes Eleon did it ! And did it ,they did. I have gained around 30 fps in online maps, the people at EGS have done an outstanding job on this and I am really impressed at the effort, in a dogfight now, it is soooo much better, and the micro freeze when attacking a drone base or whatever, totally gone for me. AWESOME GUYS ! Online this many ships and what not , in pre-alpha version the frame rate would drop to15 to 20 frames at times, it hardly drops below 30 at all anymore I run a very short fast cut video just so others could get an idea. My spec is 5960 i7 8 core, GTX980 ,16g ram, and the resolution recorded at is 1920x1080 60 frames per second full capture not half. V-sync is OFF. Set to BEST in graphic's. This second video is for people to check out since Alpha isnt being released for a few more days now, it is all Alpha footage and it is all taken online in the Eleon Test Server. There is no footage of any loot in any of the new containers. ! Before anyone asks.
Well done Piddlefoot. Like everything. Not to sure about the land based background sounds. I didn't see any monkeys or birds. But I guess they are there somewhere else the sounds wouldn't be there. Right? Really liked the new block themes. Still hate the new constructor. Big and very plain. Takes up a lot of space in a new base when you are just getting starting out. But all and all nice video.
I'm also not gonna be a fan of the ambient sounds with no real creatures behind them although I like the look of the new enemy mech at 6.45.
The sounds are just temp sound files to get it all working properly with everything else, later in Alpha much longer sound files will come. The sounds you hear now are not specifically tied to any creature in the game , the whole thing is more of a template system for the much better sound files they have coming in the future.
Which is a shame. It'd be funny to come upon someone's Wood House & watch the Woodpeckers eating away at it in their search for Bugs & snicker at the peep(s) thinking Wood could ever be a good idea of a Material to use for a REAL House/Base.
