    Hello Galactic Survivalists,

We found a workable solution for uploading images on our forum
From now on you dont use the "Upload a File" button for this anymore

But you use the new "Remote Upload Images"

You add your prictures there with "Add Images" after you done this you press the "Upload" button
It will upload your pictures to our storage account, then you can press "Insert" to add the picture to your post.

Since this will only work for images (jpg|jpeg|png|gif). You can use the "Upload a File" for Log files and blueprint files.

SaveGames can be done if they are still small. Otherwise you have to use GoogleDrive (or something similar) for it

We think this is a good solution for everyone, as no-one has to create an account on a 3rd party site anymore

    Hello Galactic Survivalists!

Since imgur disabled there API our remote upload image function no longer works :(
But we have a 2 solutions that will work

    Option 1:
    Imgur public or personal account
    • Upload image to imgur,
    • Click on the 3 dots in the top right,
    • Click on get share links,
    • Select "Copy Link" on "BBCode (Forum)",
    • Paste link in to post,
Optional: create an imgur account so you have ownership of anything uploaded to imgur on your account

    Option 2:
    Steam Artwork

Open the steam client or website and go to your profile
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 160716.png

On your profile right side select Artwork
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 160738.png

A new page will open where you can upload images. Press the Upload artwork button
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 160755.png

After you get a screen where either you upload without attaching a game or you can select Empyrion as game
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 160825.png

When you select "not game specific" or select Empyrion a new screen will open where you upload the screenshot
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 160909.png

Fill this in how you like, press the "I certify that i created this artwork" and either save it to your own profile or to the Empyrion Community Hub on Steam.

After this a new window will open with your uploaded artwork
Right click on the image and press "Copy link address"
    Schermafbeelding 2025-07-15 161038.png

This will copy the URL needed to post the artwork on the forum

After your screenshot is added to the post you are writing!

So why can't we just post a jpg to the site, didn't we used to do that? (I can't rember, but I've got other piccies here)
I'm sure you've got a reason but for the life of me I can't bring myself to have anything to do with Google and I don't as such have an account with Steam... my Son buys anything I want and gifts it to me and I pay him, so I can't even comment on steam because I've not personally given them money.
As for Imgur, I either loose rights to my stuff or I give them data... neither is going to happen

They were running out of room on their site to host images.

You can probably use any image hosting web site, not just imgur, if you find one you like better.
