Hi folks! Pretty new player here, but learning fast (I think). I have recently designed my first CV which I plan to build in my survival game, a humble size and definitely not something I could bring onto a PVP server, but I don't really like multiplayer to begin with... I'm happy with the design but pretty much expect something will go horribly wrong, because it's my first CV. My first SV was a wreck, my second was a flying breadbox, and it wasn't until my third it actually looked decent and had some blocks protecting its vital bits. But oh well, plunging forward to build my CV, come what may! I think I've got just about everything I need except steel blocks. Lots and lots.

So, what I did today? I leveled an Epsilon Spaceport Mk1 POI with my R&R tool and walked away with a few thousand metal plates.

So far, still working on the interior texturing for my new Goblin Frigate re-build. Starting to realize: we need more textures >.>

& the ability to spin Textures to get them to orient how we want without having to keep popping the block out, replacing it while guessing how to orient it, (Especially the Cubes) Re-Texturing it, seeing it's wrong again, popping the Block out, rinse & repeat till we finally manage to guess the correct Block Placement to have the Texture apply in the Orientation desired. >_<

With that said, lookin nice in there... which is why it will be worse in Combat then a REAL Warship. ;)

Workin on one of the largest ships I've ever worked on, the Satyr-class Battlecruiser. Currently clocks in at 201 blocks long, but that will likely be upped a little bit. Here's a shot of its skeleton (at least the top half of it) next to a Gremlin Corvette for scale.

In my case, at least, they're mostly for show until we get properly-proportioned guns and NPC crews to go with em :) But I find it fun getting everything together, and getting rooms layed out and all anyway :p

One of the reasons Cv on CV Docking Capability will be a cool thing to be able to do is if one wanted to make a Dogfighting CV with a Warp Engine that would act like a Giant SV with Turrets & Warp to serve as a sort of "Pseudo Warp SV". :)

It's on the to do list for me to try out building such... once I can ever figure out how to go about getting my RvB SV done. It's begun now, but has a LOT of work to do. (& Plotting & Scheming.)

Oh yeah, my latest Going Ons: On RvB, my Player File died in a tragic accident so I had to start over, which included but was not limited to having to say 'farewell' to my prior House & Tyrax Hover War Tank. Thankfully I did NOT lose out on my Tyrax Hunter Miner cause I had had that set to Faction. Faction Pal CrazyFly was epic enough to Transport my Hunter Miner to me so I could resume its use after he ripped out its Core, stuck a new one in, & set it to Public. I have had to Re-Apply to the GMTs & am awaiting acceptance.

In the mean time Slam & Mech were epic help at helping me get back onto my feet. *Flashback* In the former life I had ripped out a huge hole of its vast Supply of Sathium Hole (Seriously, it was at 60something% Ores left... of somewhere between 21,000 & 21,999 Ores.) & ran so deep after I had gotten it done, I got curious & dug straight down... *Hears the thunderous roar of a Billion Minecrafters Facepalming at me at the same time* This isn't Minecraft folks... anyway, eventually after a bit I got to the Bedrock & exercised my curiosity at if it looked as awesome as the Creative Mode Akua Moon Bedrock I once beheld. I was disappointed... it looked like solid chalk. On a scale of 1 to 10 in coolness I rate it at "Boring". :( *End Flashback*

Anyway, I was previously gonna show that Hole to my Boss sometime & ask him what he thought of a GMT Main Base being there instead of where it's at now with superior Bedrock Base Support... but now I find myself needing the place more, so i've made it my new House Location instead, despite the lack of In-Base Water. I'll deal with it. I long wanted to try a Bedrock Foundation Underground Base, so I decided i'll make the best of the tragedy & the Mad Empyrion Science Experiment has commenced... with all this Rock i'll be drilling out, & cause Danube Alpha is the GMT Home World, thus PvE, i'm rockin the Concrete Option harder then ever. :)

Lovin the Drilling Fix the Devs did a few Patches ago. I drill it down to the Bedrock & flatten it, & now it STAYS flat as it rightfully should. ^_^

P.S. Dammit I just remembered I never did remember to Re-Blueprint the Hunter Miner. Ioughta next play. Also ya'all have NOT seen the last of the Tyrax Hover War Tank. That one IS BPed & I had Factory Spawned that first one as is. The line will continue, especially when it still needs some good Field Testing. :)

Tackled another POI for fun and profit, intending to disassemble this one for scrap too: Epsilon Outpost Mk1. All was going well, then I died trying to go in on foot because I failed to realize Epsilon Weapon Factory was also in weapons range... ouch. So I respawned, hiked all the way back to the scene to pick up my SV, the Beaver, for another round of strafing ion turrets, parked her, got my backpack, and had a very successful assault on the outpost. First time I'd seen the weird mutant bat-things they keep around like watch dogs. Made out with tons of goodies and some power coils! YES, my new CV WILL be able to have an advanced constructor! I was also able to craft the pulse rifle I was wanting so badly!!! Oh yeah!

Got back to my ship and my cockpit was a smoking hole. I consequently blasted some drones out of the sky. The Beaver has a constructor that was still working, and I had more than enough materials from the base raid to build a new cockpit then and there. Fixed her up, flew her home. She'll need a new paint job, though....

Who knows, perhaps his battlecruiser design shall compete with our future battlecruiser design in the future. Someday when there are enough players on our Red vs Blue server, we can just have a massive space battle. A carrier and a large battlecruiser to each side, maybe frigates/corvettes and destroyers on each side, tons of SVs of all sorts - interceptors, assault vessels, and maybe even boarding dropships - and just go at it. Makes me salivate thinking of it...

I decided to take a break from staring at graph paper to finally go see Oscutune. Found a level(ish) spot on an island to land the Unknown Star, then took off in the Scarab to explore and whatnot. Took out a couple of normal drones and then tackled one of the new large ones. After hearing how many rocket launchers other people mount on their SVs (gotten the idea it's about 1-2), I'd started wondering if the four I have on the Scarab (plus 2 gatlings) were overkill.

They aren't - those big guys eat rockets like peanuts. I think it took 6 or 7 salvos to bring it down. He really didn't do any damage, so I went to go check out a nearby Bio-Lab. While taking out the turrets, I wasn't paying attention at first to some dark objects on top - figured they were radar, probably. Then I realized they were shooting at me - oh yeah, new alien turrets ....

Having finished off all the turrets, I turned my attention to the drones (one new big one and one garden-variety). That was a mistake, as I'd taken some hits during the fight. Had I been smart, I'd have zipped away to check damage before continuing the fight. As it was, I lined up the big drone, got some shots in and then the cockpit went "Boom!"

I managed to recover the Scarab by inching the Star into range of the drones and letting the turret kill them, but my backpack didn't make it for some reason. The only major loss on that was the epic sniper rifle I had, though I'm running low on large medkits now. Gonna have to do something about that.

What did I do on Empyrion today? Well, since Steam automatically updated to the v1.4 patch, absolutely nothing. I can no longer even run the game. Deleted all game content, and re-downloaded the game, still no go. Um, this is NOT good. Stuck now, what else can I do !!!!!!??

I loaded up the Beaver with hearty food, oxygen, premade parts and building supplies, and started building my first captiol ship ever!

Today in the Blue Nova Syndicate and Adventures of MechPilot524....

    - Got to act all redneck-with-a-shotgun on Jotunhiem. Had to practice holding the dogs back.
    - Built more bases on Jotunhiem.
    - Recovered a CV that was abandoned near Azurus Moon. She was unnamed before, but we've named her the Nurse Shark and given her hull designation LSL-01, Light Surface Lander 1. Dasvide said he might have seen the ship on the Workshop, so keep in mind this isn't our design, but we might clone or make variants of the Nurse Shark in the future.
    - ALMOST finished my Project Barracuda. Almost. That thing has taken way too long to finish.... mostly because I haven't figured out what to do at the tail end and also because I've been busy running Blue Team errands. Plenty of other designs to roll out when I'm finally done, though...

Also, if a Blue Nova Syndicate vessel, HCP-01 "Beserker" is found, we are offering a reward for its location. It's really long compared to its height and width and is covered in guns.

Is that the one I got to watch ya fly around on Danube as a cool fun break from my shenanigans? :) (Hah! Those Xtra Large Thrusters got it into trouble instead of benefited it after all, eh? :p)
