All three main faction homeworld should only be populated by those factions imo. That way rules can be made by the hierarchy on how we go about building and use of vehicles due to restricted core allowance. It would be great if everybody could have a massive base with as many vehicles as possible. But the game does not allow this at this stage of development. We need rules and we need them now. If you want to build a big base go do it on another planet where the core limit is nowhere near reached.
That was not because of the crowding, its because I don't want you to lose your CV, planets are very buggy in alpha. But the rest, I agree, and the reason I've been thinking about a moon. I just can't go through like Godzilla bulldozing the place, as a lot of the bases belong to people that play solo on the server. One of our current members got his base and ship cleared accidently by a mod. Without an enforceable set of rules on this starter planet, I can't tell a GMT from the guy that logged in for 30 min and just made a mining shack.
So other than the home planet. We're else can we go and not worry about things disappearing and have the resources we need? Can't be building with the worry of a wipe. Or am I just making up stuff?
Well, that's the reason I tell everyone to park in space. Space is the safest place as of right now. But, this is going to be the same currently on all servers, this is nothing specific to ours. Danube has been very stable since our last wipe, I don't expect one anytime soon as it seems the server can auto correct the planets now.
The problem I have as a GMT on danube. I can't build anything for all the randoms that are on there. I may need to join either red or blue to actually live in a homeworld that I feel belongs to the faction it is intended for.
They all have their own issues. Half the bases on Pyrite yesterday had been heavily damaged by hackers. The over population on our planet makes it hard for hackers to spawn in a lot of junk. And Azurus seems to have a lot of missing ships. But, I tell GMT to keep their ships in space. But, I think it was MechPilot's idea, we have a neutral planet that everyone starts on, not the home worlds. Force everyone to start on that planet would reduce over population on our planet, and reduce hackers and randoms leaving broken BPs on the other home worlds. Yet..... Both Red and Blue last I checked was close to their core limits. Just a few more players and your leaders will start regulating parking planet side. As example, yesterday around Furian's base I counted almost 20 cores in one valley, and only one was a base.
Yup ok BP BP BP. I will bring my post Alpha CV in to Space tonight. Never do I bring a CV to planet side anyways.
There's a SV parked on Danube with a marker that says please delete me. Been there about a week. Has lots of WIERD griffety on it. Plus a 2nd marker but no sign of anything there.
It's starting to look like the new "Neutral Starting World" idea may indeed be the best way to go. Perhaps Danube Beta? Now that ya mention it, there's been a Factionless upside down HV close to the GMT Headquarters for as long as i've ever been playing on Danube... it's never moved... (Dominantly red in color & no special name.) I finally managed to Mine Up a Storm & get some Resource Flow into GMT! Also 2 new Bugs showed up: 1st: Somehow at full growth in my House, my Aloe Vera figured out how to achieve Perfect Zen & became One with the Universe: Spoiler After picked the ungrown form correctly appears on the Plot. 2nd: I defeated the last Danube Magnesium Ore Vein, but can't defeat this last Neodymium Ore Vein. I can't see ANY remaining Ore in this Hole, yet the game swears the Vein is still at 18ish% strength: Spoiler I don't think it's a coincidence either that this is the same Neodymium Ore Vein that the Cam Faction previously blocked off by inhabiting the POI that used to sit nearly on top of this Vein before that got Deleted...
If available scrap it for mats. If not, I'll see about getting it removed. A neutral world is something currently being discussed, among possible others. I'll check out the HV next time I'm on, I'm assuming its private? Is it in the water?
I suggest the neutral "newbie" world have continuous wipes to encourage people to join a faction as soon as they get on their feet and not build a bunch of unnecessary junk there. Maybe wipe the planet every Monday and Thursday? Just note that in the planet's description so people don't flip when they lose something.
Yep, in the water & upside down... the whole time i've ever known it... as if whoever built it found a way to flip it while never having an RCS Installed into it thus they couldn't figure out how to right it then they gave up & left the game for lost. (I've wondered outta curiosity...)
