Oh, I just thought of something... will this Wipe & Restart also sort out the GMT Faction Bug Issues?
The issue's related to server-side faction settings and the client-side faction interface, and at least early on it was working. So at least initially the faction controls will be in perfect shape.
During the server's extended downtime I've worked in an additional minor change to the Sectors. Previously, Danube (now known as Danube Greater) was clipping into its asteroid field. Its position is changed so that this is no longer a thing.
It won't, I've tested the new coordinates on my own dedicated server. Danube Greater is a bit further to the right but isn't touching its asteroid field anymore; Isar is closer to the warp entry point but is still at least several kilometers away from Danube Greater. Also, I can confirm Danube Lesser has a breathable atmosphere and the resource specifications I set. And of course Azurus and Pyrite are much more distant.
I'd think the amount and re-spawn of them would be increased due to the increase in distance between planets.
There will be about the same amount of blue crystals as there were before. I didn't change any of the blue crystals resources files. The only planets that are further away are the home orbits. We decided that in addition to allowing us to make citadels security checkpoints, we could also make citadels more important bases of operation than home orbits. Citadels are significantly closer to the rest of the system than the home orbits, so it is more advantageous to build a base of operations there. It might be okay to construct new vessels in the home orbits and making a one-way trip to their homes in the Citadels, but commuting to the home orbits regularly is meant to be unsustainable. However I will take Navonil's suggestion and perhaps when we redesign the solar system in the coming weeks make some PvP planets with plentiful crystals.
Quick question: what is explosive as far as structures on a CV? What I mean is will anything explode and cause AoE damage on a CV if it is hit with enough firepower? I have....an idea....
