Hi there, i'd like to suggest something have to do with a way to see damage for repairs... Similar to the structural integrity, green being sound structure red being unstable... It would be nice to see a similar option in the N menu for Damage to plates. Thanks for reading! The game is great!
Why is there not a feedback thread on Ships ? Anyhow... whats with the new change to HV's and them dropping to the ground when you get out (and usually sliding away down a hill out of control)? Before a patch or two ago, you could hover somewhere, get out and your HV stayed put, it hovered exactly where it was when you were in the cockpit. It was predictable and solid. Not only did this allow it to stay put when you got out, but it also allowed me to 'raise it up', get out, go under and check the parts and fix any damages or tighten the springs or change the oil....... now, with it crashing to the ground when I step out of the cockpit, I cannot get under it for nothing. Also, since we now pop out on the roof of the cockpit, and the HV drops, it causes us to bob and drop as well. If it was a change because someone complained "I cant get back in my HV waaaaaa its up to high aaaaaaa..." ... uhm, your JETPACK lifts you much higher than any HV could possible be hovering, so W T F? Very messy, very messy indeed.
Hello, first post here. I was playing multiplayer game with my friend and my friend got into this problem. He lagged out while he was flying his gigantic capital vessel in hostile planet. As you know there is the green border for every planet. Unfortunately his CV ended up sitting middle of it after lagging out. When he logged back in, he lost his entire inventory. As he was heading to the cockpit, he had to pass the green border to get there, resulting the other half of planet to load and his CV disappearing in the process. Since his constructor was on the same side as his cockpit, he couldn't make another cockpit. But he was so fortunate enough to receive my help. If this was a single player game, he would've lost his CV entirely. So maybe can you make it so that vehicles don't disappear when I pass the green border? Thx!
"Spawn near death location" needs to be able to be disabled, at least by server admins. It makes dying basically meaningless and detracts heavily from the survival aspect of the game.
Hello, two functions I miss currently: 1. Docking funktion for a hover vessel on a small vessel. The description from the docking plate of the hover vessel stands in contradiction with the information in the PDA. It would be great if the function is added. 2. A sleep funktion to skip the night. Thanks, your doing a good job!
This has been mentionned multiple times, but please please please implement some decent physics, at least for space ships. I know this is not kerbal space program, but Newton must have been turning in his grave !!
The terrain clipping in this game is worse than I have ever seen in any other game. It is in my opinion the single most busted thing about empyrion right now. I know you are aware of this issue but I want you to know how painfully aware of it I am as a gamer. I cannot play this game for more than 5 minutes without experiencing some minor inconvenience from terrain clipping. And once an hour at least I have to deal with a major inconvenience or a game breaking situations where enemies are just standing around unable to move because they are terrain clipped by invisible terrain. I just want to make sure that nobody at empyrion thinks the level of terrain clipping is not an issue. It is a gigantic and huge issue in the game that never really stops. It effects all movement.
Thoughts of the day^^ : - pre-fabed blueprints should be patch save to prevent a loss of several k in res - blueprints eg for an underwater base should be placeabale below water. I didnt mange to do so. - Pentaxit is nice but after a couple of jumps it restricts too much because i have to collect it... Aka this time had almost no large oceans so it was a pain in the ass to get it from the moon. I want the freedom to move where i want! - i need an improved console window for fuel. Its annoying to fill up 12+ fuel tanks in bases and cv's. A single window would be nice where i just throw in the fuel and i dont have to care about single tanks. Would be a nice option for console blocks.
So, 1.7.0... I mean no offence, but what's with the new Gravity Generator model? It seems like taking a few steps back. Isn't the point of new models to make them look better? Ammo boxes are okay I guess, even though I preferred the old ones. O2/H2 is fine, hadn't really paid much attention to them, but I think they might be nicer now.. but the grav gen has turned into what looks like a WIP version of the old grav gen... What's up with that? I mean it's still okay looking, but the old one was way better so I'm having a hard time understanding the change? Ô_o Power generators were fine too.. but I don't think they're much worse now, just different for no good reason that I can think of... :\ edit: Okay nevermind that bit, Fridgidman explained it. In other news.. Still hoping for death to start mattering (i.e. option to disable "spawn near death location" on my server) and thrusters to stop working through solid blocks... Also hoping we get lot faster projectile speeds for non bullet weapons (railgun projectiles are silly slow, so are lasers), and faster turret tracking speeds and higher damage to CV's to make them more relevant towards SV's, though the CV/BA only combat steel blocks are a nice addition... Even if I just two days ago finished building my CV out of hardened steel... FML Though combat steel doesn't fix the main problem, which is that CV's can't hit SV's, and even if they could you could load up the SV with enough hardened steel for it not to matter.
They are changing the blocks to coincide with the style they are aiming for. The generators and gravgens were still odd compared to other components. I think the only one left now is that ugly medic chamber.
Righto, well that makes sense then. I can respect that even if I don't necessarily like the new style
Jury is still out over here too until I see how they all end up and work together. For me, so long as a style choice is CONSISTENT then it tends to immerse me and I begin to ignore how the style may be. Take Long Dark for example... its a very visceral survival game, but the style is very very hand-drawn almost. However after panicing in the night, and running for wolves, you start to live in the style and accept it as being quite brilliant.
They the medical device has been changed twice all really. Many items have. You would think there are more important things to worry about. Kinda reminds me of that Apple IPhone commercial were the new improved IPhone has the head phone moved from the bottom to the top of the phone. That was mind blowing lol
LOL no doubt. In a bigger team, usually its the graphics guys getting bored waiting for the programmers to diddle around... so they make needless graphical changes to justify them being in the office that day. But with Eleon, their crew is tight, so its kind of wondersome. Maybe they are trying a few things to see where the community is at with feedback on the style. Or... being a graphic designer myself... they may do something, then a few weeks later not like it and want to change it again, and again.
Maybe someday all the different Models of the Devices could become "Device Textures" for the Texture Tool to command?
Would be nice to see some live video say once a month showing new models and plans for the future. Hosted by a dev.
