The T1 Multitool strength got nerfed compared to what it was, but the new T2 Multitool has MUCH stronger Block Removal Speed. I don't find even Combat Steel too much trouble to remove with the T2.
Of course i'm using only T2 multitool.... and Combat steal is gone in only 3 hits. Steel in 4, and OMG 5 for concrete.
Correct, the T2 multitool has odd hit numbers. Like... 1 hit to remove Reinforced Steel! But 4 to remove Steel and 5 for crete
We need the ability to craft fiber out of wood logs and wood planks. Right now wood is useless outside of wood blocks which are used early on if you're desperate and can't make it concrete for some weird reason or if you just want some wood textured stuff in a build. Fiber is also a super basic material needed for grow plots and bandages so it's relatively essential over all. So, yeah; let us craft fiber out of wood logs/planks.
Oh, so turning the Wood into a Fiber Farm? That sounds like a cool idea. I mistakenly thought he was talking about Crafting the Wood straight into Fiber in a Constructor.
Well theres that too... but that seems a bit 'quick'. Fiber is tough to find, and I wonder if the devs meant it to be that way.
I didn't intend my suggestion to be zero sum. Have the plants and allow us to process wood into fiber.
Ahh, in that case, that sounds like an idea to me. I still wish Trees could be Planted & be Renewable though.
i am struggling to get my advanced constructor to make anything it just queued but doesnt process it my power is sufficiant and i am not getting it. just starting my base want to put defences up against drones so i can mine iron and finish my base. i dunno if its me or a glitch
Have ya looked in the Advanced Constructor's Interface's Upper-Right Corner & checked if it's turned On instead of Off? Can also check if it's set to be Active in the Base Properties Screen.
Some feedback about the new building mechanics... I hate them. Not to be mean but I really hate the new slide and pause of the building interface. It is causing tons of mishaps in building because it doesn't line up with the crosshairs due to the mechanism.
Some Glass Pane Blocks Need Mirrored Copies Due To Tint and Placement Bias Not sure if this has been covered or not but... The glass window options are lacking in a couple key areas. The following two examples are the ones I can remember right now. When you build along a 45o wall for example, and want to build up a sloping back window, you need two different Triangle windows, the triangle we have, and a mirrored triangle that we do Not have. So if you flip the one triangle window available to fit, it will snap in place, but it sits outside the "window frame" of the other windows, and the tint is facing the wrong way as well. The 1x1 and 1x2 slanted triangles both have this issue. Secondly, if you want to build an all glass cockpit on a CV for example, you cannot wrap the glass around a corner to other glass. This is caused by the fact that even though it is a thin piece, the bias or dead space the rest of the block would take up is biased In, so you must put a full sized block in play going around a corner for certain blocks. This again affects sloping and slanted blocks the most. We need a second identical model of some of these window shapes facing the other way. The rounded windows work great though. I hate saying "in other games yada blah", but most of the time there is a mirror piece for the more complicated glass parts to work around this limitation that is by No means a "problem with the game". The build system works great. But we can't build with what we don't have. Can you help us out? Thank you.
You can, but it sometimes looks a little strange... The idea is that only one block covers the "inside" and the other two (in case of a corner block) cover the outside of the ship. You have to reverse the dark side of the window using the rotation tool. I will try to produce some ascii art... the straight elements are the windows and the points are the "wasted space" inside the block. A corner for instance, can look like this: first block second block ====== |..... ...... |..... ...... |..... inside outside
