Yesterday was a bit of a mess, assaulted the fortress on Mesperon and lost two out of five ships because we're terrible at dodging fire. The first thing to go in my ship was the cockpit meaning I just fell out and watched my ship get blown to pieces.
I saw the weirdest graphical glitch and was about to hit the bug report forum As I had never see a blue rectangular skybox like this before (I'm standing outside, and not looking through a door way) when it dawned on me, that it was simply the XY symmetry plane on my base I'm building some 600m away >.< doh
Definitely! I always forget to adjust altitude when strafing which led to a face full of plasma cannon fire! The build of the ship is fine, however I need to go on another piloting course!
Haha! You know... if you dont first pick a block to place the plane(s), and then you show the plane(s)... it defaults to 0,0,0 on the planet. I was once near that location, and when I turned on the green grid, I saw it stuck halfway in some mountain a few hundred meters away and was like ...waatt?
Today... well I furthered my new game started in V3, and I'm in a predicament. There are only 2 of each resource type and they are quite small so no wild resource spending for me I love the dense Akua forest, the slightly damped down drone, fireflies, birds and even the Motorcycle (which has made locating the scarce resources a lot easier) I don't like killing families of Lizard Mules ! However the raptors get no such sentimentality and it's KOS with them. I also did a little photoshoot with the Janus MkII and put it on steam. Like the little sister, she is very industrial, I'm sure there are some botched textures and whatnot **blurb** This is the big sister of the Janus MKI The Janus MkII has been stretched a little longer ( to accommodate a constructor and other amenities) as well as having the standard hull redone in armored steel. Extra thrusters and RCS have been installed to cope with the weight gains. There are some small detailing differences between the two, but it retains the same simple design based around easy access to all components. Enjoy **
Cleaned up this thread. Please keep this on topic if you have any issues then feel free to contact me in private. Thanks!
I made what is possibly a monumentally stupid move, in my current game with very limited resources I have begun to build a base and sv that may prove to be a little expensive but it's all good clean fun. The base is a monument to the Titan and the upper part is shaped a little like the (mid?) section where the large thrusters reside, it also has a nice walled perimeter, and is a mix of concrete (cheap) and a steel skeleton. And yeeeaah, the thing on top must go. The hangar is quite roomy, and all the essential equipment is a floor below underground. On to the SV, it's a bit of an ugly duckling, it looks surprisingly majestic in flight .. if you ignore all the gaping holes and unfinished bits

Wow mate, 1778 hours, thats a lot of CVs. Take a break, comeback in 6 months to check out the new updates
Raided a couple more bases on foot and lucked into two power coils, Advanced constructor here we come. Oh and worked on the ugly duckling
I know I keep showing pictures of some of my same ships but this game has some of the most beautiful picture worthy moments of any game I have ever played. lol I feel like a tourist taking pictures while trying to play this game.
Agreed, it truly is beautiful. I purposefully built my base to be west facing so I could enjoy the sunsets over the lake / mountains after a days slog
