    Absolutely second that! I decided to back EMP because of a more "immersive" world, too. So yes, please add more creatures, npcs (and plants!). Even if these are placeholders for now.

    I don't think that's the way it is supposed to be. I don't think I have had more than two at any of their towers or 4 at the CV. I haven't been to other planets yet.

    Before reading my post please note that I have not taken the time to read through all three pages of comments.

    I enjoy the NPCs I have seen so far however I would like it if they posed more of a threat. Drones do fire a pretty long way which can get annoying. I like the fact that drones are as accurate as they are. I feel that dinosaurs and turrets (especially turrets) need improved detection. The spinosaurus doesn't appear to be interested in me unless I get pretty darn close. I have found that NPC turrets do not appear to track me until I am standing almost right next to them which makes destroying any and all turrets encountered incredibly easy. I would like to see NPC turrets and creatures do more damage to the player because in the game's current state (Alpha 1.0.2) I do not feel threatened in any way by NPCs. I took several hits from a plasma turret while in my GV and the resulting damage was one missing block and a slightly bent sloped block.

    **** Summary ****
    - NPCs not much of a threat
    - Dinosaurs / Turrets need better detection
    - NPC Turrets / Creatures need a damage buff

    It would be awesome if we could name things we come across. Right now when I kill something I just get 'alien' parts. This could just be a place holder until the actual names are integrated, but I thought I'd throw in the idea that we could add names to these things as we find them. Kind of like we are cataloging new life.

    As its pre -alpha I expect the AI tracking and effective killing will improve, I think they have got it to a practical usable testing system. Its pretty basic right now.
    Also as they add new planets to there map procedural generator I would expect to see the AI/NPCs get better tactics and be more lethal/dangerous.
    Early days for pre alpha first couple of versions, its pretty good.
    Im just so happy we have AI in pre alpha, waited over 2 years in that other game and the AI still isnt really there !
    My wifey had a good old giggle when she saw me getting chewed on by a dinosaur while trying to re-load !

    I enjoy the AI over all. There are a few things though I could see improved.

    1) Dinos are fun but don't really fit this game. Changing the skin on those to something more immersive would be fantastic. (The arachnids are great!)
    2) A greater variety of both hostile and passive NPC's would be good. Granted it's pre-alpha, and I'm sure this is on the horizon.
    3) AI should be something the player can have as well. player build drones and recon drones would be great, as well as AI's on the turrets. I was a bit disappointed to build the control center and find it was just for show. Again, pre-alpha problems. ;)

    If you add a creature creation system like in spore not in game but maybye like an extra menue on game root menue and online sharing

    Doubt they'll add a system that's similar to what spore had, or like what you find in Starbound. Compared to those the creature model system is static and this is a completely different game engine compared to those two games. I'm not saying it can be done but it would mean a LOT more work for the dev's which I don't think they want to focus on. They probably already have enough on their plates and they aren't a huge team to begin with.

    i tried your savegame and it was difficult but doable. had to resort to shooting from under the water. you must have went to the wreck then ran away. the little turds followed you pretty far
    also how the heck does that gv hover without hover engines???!!!

    I resolved , I left as fast as possible before the first drone arrive and establish my base from the opposite face of the planet lol .
    If I had stayed there would have been really difficult to get away.
    It seems that once spotted by a drone , it warns others to get to his rescue and attack you.
    I do not know how does it work without hover engine , since it was my first attempt to build a gv I simply copied the instructions in the video tutorials on Empyrion Wiki LOL :D

    I share your opinion, drones and turrets shoud be able to detect you on sight and not when you're just next to them and they need to make more damage. Sometimes drones don't see you when you're firing at them (they follow their path).

    So what I am getting here is that Drones need to be Beefed up a little, be more responsive to where they are being shot from, and to have a higher hit count.
    Also the turrets need better track and follow.
    And lastly the Dinos need changing to be more alien..... Or do you want different kind of creature for Omicron?????

    What about the other creatures on the other planets???

    I would settle for an increase in drone HP and damage, if they received a range nerf.

    Please no range nerf ! When you are in an armed SV, none of the drones are dangerous because you can destroy them before they begin to fire at you or even see you.

    Maybe make a difference between detection of GV/SV (long range) and person walking (short range)

    For the creatures, you can keep the dinos for some grass or forest biomes et more alien creatures for others (omicron include), like the arachnid on lava planet or some intelligent biped alien

    I was referring to being on foot, but I understand where you're coming from. A vehicle would have a much larger visual/radar/EM signature than a human in a suit. This could potentially also open up a stealth mechanic with some building blocks working to reduce detectability.

    But yeah, just don't see the point of a sniper rifle outside of PVP if the drones outrange it.

    There should be a 10-20 second timer that makes you immune to AI immediately after you respawn.
    1. It's too easy to chain die. you should atleast be able to run out of range after a respawn.
    2. If you do die and can't retrieve your pack you might have to start a world over just to progress and lose hours of work.
    3. You could also allow a respawn to have another drill and pistol to give us a shot at getting our packs back.
