With the success of Micro, I realized I might have a talent for awesome smaller HV's so I thought I would spend the evening building a few, here is the first: Introducing Zone, Micro's slightly bigger, slightly more expensive, but lower level brother. Fast, agile, and well suited to later modification. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802799212 Enjoy!
Use the Glaive, if you think people might love it http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802833762
The second: Introducing, Filament. A slightly larger, more for mid-game, HV. Despite its slightly larger size(as opposed to teeny tiny) it handles really well. Painted with a cool glowing orange. Comes with 4 rocket launchers, but could be replaced with other stuff as well; expanded to include more turrets, etc.. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802900834 Enjoy!
Introducing, Fantasy. A powerful, mid-to-late survival game Assault Hovercraft. Excellent acceleration, Hardened steel, 4 plasma turrets, and an artillary turret make this a terrifying package for your alien foes and peace of mind for your loot gathering and mining operations. Possesses lots of storage, a constructor, and everything your Empyrion fantasy requires... Will glide off of mountain tops, and land as gently as a leaf. Is kind to the mid-to-late game wallet. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=803682158 Enjoy!
Introducing, Mistral. A cheap, fast, lower level HV that is perfect for your survival starter needs. Armed with two miniguns and plenty of storage this should help measurably towards getting you to that first POI or shield you until you fetch enough resources for a spiffy new SV. This is my attempt at an open-cockpit design and also let me experiment with glass. Will glide when launching off of mountain tops, and the view from inside the cockpit as you zoom through forests is awesome. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=804175540 Enjoy!
Introducing, Progenitor. Designed to be a step up from my other HV, Fantasy. So; heavier, even more aggressive armament, VERY fast for it's weight, agile, and not too expensive for it's potency. It does not have an artillary turret, but both shoulders have positions for them - I had a difficulty here as I built the ship for symmetry and there is a current limit of 1 for the Arty turrets. If they change this I will update the design. Will glide and manuver in the air. Reaches into the game code and changes the game type from "survival" to "sit back and eat space fries while obliterating alien, critter, and trees alike" Progenitor best viewed when listening to: Steam link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=805199566 Enjoy!

Introducing, Dust Cloud Assault. A cool idea - a dust cloud of spatially random blocks. Some with pilots seats, others with guns, others with engines, and so on. This is a full-fledged HV. Could use some more expansion if you really wanted to use it for PVP, but it not, I hope it helps to stimulate creativity! Camouflages well and will confuse your opponents! Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=805759833 Enjoy!
Introducing, Spiral Island Assault. A huge multi-tiered Hovercraft that I originally designed to be some kind of neat spacial assault platform with guns on the different tiers, but then as I got going, it became more of a creative exercise; BUT it could be a very powerful HV. The thing is, now that I have built it, I am really not sure how to arm it. Also, for some odd reason the blueprint system will not create an image with a after image of the blueprint screen - so the workshop image you see while browsing still has that window. As soon as I figure out how to create an image for it, I will. So! Fellow workshoppers, I leave that to you; feel free to take this design, modify it, arm it, drive it around, shoot people with guns you equip it with... but do please link your work - I am eager to see the results. Recovery Log Entry 1: We discovered an alien ship today. As far as we know, this is the first time anybody has recovered a ship of this design. The hull seems to be made of some kind of bio-metallic compound. Our engineer seems to believe the ship may be alive. We're sending a recovery team over to evaluate if it is plausible to refit it for human use. Entry 2: Our recovery team has reported that the ship seems abandoned. While they reported no technology, as we know it, the ship seemed strangely built to support a crew of at least one person... or alien. We believe that this is an Overseer ship. What happened to its pilot, and why it was abandoned, we have yet to discover. Entry 3: We have successfully replaced the alien core with one of our own. Although the recovery team reported that the ship seemed to "react badly" to our tampering with its systems, once our core was online, it became more cooperative. Entry 4: The ship appears to be outfitted with six heavy laser batteries, although the design is alien, they seem to utilize energy similar to those of our Capital Vessel's pulse lasers. When one of our recovery personnel sat a pulse laser charge on the floor, the ship absorbed the charge through the floor! Entry 5: We have installed standard equipment on board the alien ship. Strangely, the ship seems to have grown around the machinery, incorporating our technology into itself. The ship even moved some of our equipment several feet, to incorporate them into the walls. This is one of the strangest vessels, or creatures, that I have ever seen. Entry 6: Final Entry. The alien ship is responding to our input like it was one of our own, although our recovery team says it seems to act more like a stray puppy that has been taken in, than a vessel. They have gotten into the habit of calling the vessel "Tin Man", although I can't fathom why. Supplemental Entry: "Tin Man" seems to lack warp capability, and we risk damaging the vessel if we try to install a warp drive into it. Unfortunately, this means it will be a long trip getting it home... Alien Gunship: CV with an Alien Core, fully functional in Creative Mode. Outfitted with 6 Pulse Lasers and everything it needs to fly. Captured Alien Gunship: CV with a Player Core and additionally outfitted with Gravity Generator, Advanced Constructor, Fuel Tank, O2 Tank, Medical Bay, O2 Station, Fridge (T2), Food Processor, and two additional Passenger Seats. I made it as an NPC Capital Vessel, even though they're not in the game. Also, since it's made from Alien Blocks, it's very cheap, but gets damaged easily.
CV_Nostromo . . . no, it doesn't look a thing like the actual Nostromo from Aliens, but it just reminded me of that. The name seemed suitable . . . http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=805959455 Intended to be as close to "efficient" and fun to use in PvE as possible, as well as "as close to NOT butt ugly" as I can achieve with my Vogon's sense of aesthetics!
Introducing, Arcus. Something of a mix between my other hovercrafts Progenitor and Fantasy. Designed with the revenge scenario in mind - specifically that scenario where you are on Masperon and equipped with that shiny new SV and CV. You then arrogantly think, "P1 Super Fortress?! Pfff! I can take you!" And then it turns out you cannot. This ship is a monster - with lots of everything; storage, power, fuel, etc. For its weight, a mighty 87+ tons, it also handles very well. It will swerve through a forest and even glides medium distances. If you want more speed, just replace some of the blocks on its base with more thrusters. Not designed for PVP... but, it is all hardened steel, and with a touch more armor at certain points it would have three layers - and that is not too shabby. Maybe ideal for the Blue team on the Red vs Blue server - or that kind of thing. Back to small! Introducing, Dream. A cheap, level 5, starter HV. Is super fast and highly maneuverable - will glide off of mountain tops. Not very heavily armed, but there are 3 more gun positions available, plus two more ready for expansion, when you have the resources. Should still excel at mining and anti-drone duties. Not for PVP Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=806427760 Enjoy!
As per friendly request by Kieve, I will limit my postings to just 2 or so images. I do not want to blow up these forums. Sorry if I was frustrating anyone.
That is not at all what I requested. Just asking if you could tuck them in spoiler tags so they don't cause the thread to yo-yo while each image pops in. Posting one as "Full" and adding the others as thumbnails would also work, I suspect.
Introducing, Omega. A big fun ship that is sure to wow. With the hover engines located in neat recesses, a decent speed, low key but predatory color job, and decent armament; this hover craft is stompingly powerful - has plenty of room for more guns if that is your thing. Definitely not for PVP - but it could arranged to be with some additions. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=807169944 Enjoy!
