    Hi people !
    Yes another performance video !
This one has been done on the AMD 4.7ghtz 8 core, 8g of ram [ 8 gig is not usable at the moment so just running on 8 not 16 for the time being ] @ 1866mhtz, ATI R9 290x video, game is installed to a mechanical drive , sabertooth motherboard asus, 700w antec true power.

Empyrion runs on 4 cores of the 8, and in this map it was running those four cores around 30 to 40%.
CPU seems to just cruise through Empyrion.
The video card , via GPU Tweek, reported 1200megs of V-Ram being used in this map. [ Map with 5 narn heavy cruisers 390m long all clumped together ]
System RAM usage was around 5 to 6 gigs.

Unity 5 is looking pretty sweet even before optimisations on the game.

This map has 1x 500m long ship frame WIP, 2x 200m ship, the developers titan @ about 100m long , a small 70m frigate, 1x 100m hyperion, all of the stations that are spawned in the game are still in the map, then theres 5 x the heavy narn cruiser seen in the intro video, these ships are 390m long and clumped tightly together, all of this is positioned right smack in the asteroid field, with the narn cruisers on the edge of the asteroid field, the two fleets are lined up as if there about to do battle, like a faction would do.

I averaged 50 fps on this map once it was fully loaded with ships.

In the next video Im going to add a few dozen small fighters to the fleets, and see what the frame rate does.

Would be interesting to get some MP on this setup and fire some weapons to see if that impacts frame rate at all.

Not really, we'd done soem four of four ship fights and I didn't see a sim' speed drop. I thnk the frame rate dropped a little but nothing bad, and my system is old.

PC used to test cost 1200$ to build myself. That's not expensive for a top end gaming rig. The bloody Intels are the dear ones.
Ive done most testing on the AMD because most people buy AMD over Intel right now for mid range gaming because of the price of the CPU.
AMD's best chip 300 to 450 odd bucks depending where you live.
Intel's best chip 1100 to 1800 odd bucks depending where you buy it. !

When blueprints are incorporated into steam I will upload everything to workshop.

Empyrion might be a game we can finally have faction wars in, in high definition, with highly detailed builds.
At the very least a proper squad on squad fighter war is doable, but from where Im sitting, if you have a half decent pc rig, your looking good for a proper faction battle with big ships and all the bells n whistles of fighters buzzing around everywhere !

Starmade performance baked in a pie with far cry 3 detail and sugar coated with Half Life 2 game-play !

    Sounds good to me !
    Tasty too !
